You’d think a hybrid or Plug-In Hybrid would be ideal for a mail delivery van. Regenerative braking would be ideal and post office building’s wouldn’t need massive investments for full EV charging.

I guess the big issue is every post office would probably need massive infrastructure investment to build/install charging capability.  

Is the 8.6MPG estimation based on how the EPA tests regulars cars? Or is the 8.6MPG based on the USPS and/or Oshkosh’s own testing based on the constant stop and go every 100' feet or so? I’m 47 and have never personally owned a car with manual crank windows. 9 cars so far and all fully power windows. Of course my parents had a few, the last being I believe a 79 or 80 Chrysler Newport
