This was you reading an article that doesn’t try to justify predators, with zero comments, and your immediate response is to fire shots at an audience response that only exists as a hypothetical situation in your head. That’s not the action of someone who is here to “read the articles.” It is the action of a deeply

You have such a pathetic hard-on for this stuff. Oh, you came here to read the articles... and to go to the comments section... and to preemptively badmouth your enemies when you see nobody has posted yet. We’re all a bunch of predators and enablers, and you’re here actually wanting a bigger role in our movie. The

I also don't get her claim that Seth Rogen offered her a "bribe" to stay. She wanted to quit and he made an offer to keep her from quitting. That's negotiation, not a bribe, and it happens all the time when companies want to keep talent from leaving.

recognitions is the biggest moron of all here.

Nobody asked you to justify anything. And going to a site to read articles doesn’t mean you’re obligated to interact with other readers.

Considering you seem to dislike the majority of AV Club commenters nearly as much as the bulk of them seem to dislike you, I can’t help but wonder why you stick around. Is your entire goal really just to spread your own misery around as much as possible?

“a moderately successful comedian”

Why is it called an *apart*ment when he always seems to be *with* someone?

What is the deal with Jerry’s apartment?

If Fischer’s conclusion is that he was mostly cut because of his race, and the conclusion of many that have watched the movie is that he was mostly cut because his character is boring, well, that’s certainly a reasonable point to make.

You're the king when it comes to sham posturing Reco baby!

Its more of a person being Mad runs into person who isn’t willing to take shit from a group of people who are actively giving him shit due to the fact he’s replacing their fired director. Honestly I’m suprised Joss the epic Asshole he is was as kind and gentle with them as its pretty clear he was working in an

This is by far the most comprehensive comment here. Well done!

I feel like these were the same things we had months or years or whatever ago, when every story mentioned Whedon, but no one ever mentioned what he did to Fisher, and then some hearsay about racism that he didn’t actually experience.

I hate to agree with you, but here’s your star.

After all of the drama, I expected Christian Bale or Mel Gibson levels of impropriety. I’m not saying Ray had a good time on set, but this sounds a lot less racially nefarious and a lot more like an actor who thinks he’s worth more than he’s getting paid. Or is Terrance

I mean this whole thing seems to come down to them wanting to completely rework the image of this film, and cut it down by half its intended length. It sounds like Fisher was an actor with opinions, and that relationship worked with Snyder (who worked very closely with him and the writer to create the character’s arc

Yeah there’s reason there for being uncomfortable with a catchphrase and even with that particular catchphrase given that Fisher was already concerned about the first portrayal of a black DC superhero. That’s valid,

At face value I thought it would be a repulsive statement to make, but I can appreciate that you weren’t totally serious with that sentiment.

I... actually don’t? It’d be like half the cast of a Fantastic Four movie getting mad that they’re expected to say “Flame on!” and “It’s clobbering time!” but Reed and Sue have no equivalents.
