“I don’t think your boyfriend is morally obligated to disclose that he’s HIV-positive to a casual sex partner”

How is the answer to the question “should someone inform a person they’re planning on having sex with of the fact that they have a sexually transmitted disease?” not an unambiguous “Yes, yes of course they should inform that other person, because that other person has the absolute right to make an informed decision

If a journalist hasn’t “look[ed] much into it,” then they shouldn’t report it let alone commentate on it.

Maybe share this thought with your fellow Jezebel writers who discounted this as trolling.

I am strongly motivated to remove the stigma of cannibalism on behalf of some of my best friends who were cannibalized... by me!

The issue I have with this case is that the centre of it is increasingly murky. The centre being being “What actually happened on the set in 2017?”. Because without that knowledge, it’s hard to see or understand Fisher and a large part of me thinks that that’s intentional on Fisher’s part.

What? It’s not like I’m going around different articles blaring “RECOGNITIONS IS AN ABUSER.” If I said “RECOGNITIONS IS AN ABUSER” more than in these couple of comments, that would be completely overboard.

Its funny because in the first one she was literally a god killer super weapon left behind by Zeus, and this time she gives all that up so that she can rape a man that has the mind of her BF of two weeks from 70 years ago.

Bringing Chris Pine back (by dubious storytelling means, in a way that is honestly kind of icky when you think about it) is IMHO unambitious, in that it plays it safe by recreating positive elements from the first movie instead of exploring new territory and new relationships.

Her version seems, at best, a little self-serving and not very accurate. She directed Monster in 2002. It was released in 2003. Her next film was Wonder Woman and it wasn’t released until 14 years later. She had occasional stints as a television director, but the notion that everyone wanted her after Monster seems

Proof that, sometimes, studio interference is a really good idea.

WW84's first draft needed to come back with a “are you really hanging the entire plot on a literal magic wishing rock with no rules?” Post-It attached.

I don’t doubt that she had a lot of sexism and outright misogyny to overcome in making it in Hollywood as a woman, and I salute her for achieving things far beyond what I would likely have managed in the same circumstances, but this narrative would have felt a lot more satisfying after the first movie and before the

Women don’t want to see that. Her being harsh and tough and cutting people’s heads off

b-b-but calling voter suppression where there was evidence of voter suppression is the same thing as calling illegal voting when there wasn’t illegal voting! - Ron Johnson
