Particularly in the final two seasons, absolutely.

Yeah, those are clearly strategic calls. All great performances though.

I think it’s adorable that they both deferred to their senior co-stars—it kind of reflects the show’s sweetness.

I’m no insider on these things, but from what I’ve heard over the years, the designations are somewhat arbitrary, and calculated by whomever submits the performances for consideration (the producers, I guess?) to serve a particular objective. Jeremy Irons as the lead of Watchmen is batshit, but the limited series

I’m okay with Irons getting in there for a lead nom. He pulled the whole B plot along basically as the lead in a 3 character plot. It dovetailed really well when it came together... when his story finally joined the main story. Plus Irons in the supporting category would have blanked one of the other guys.

I would imagine the cast of Schitt’s Creek agreed to submit that way to avoid competing with each other.

HOW THE FUCK IS RHEA SEEHORN NOT NOMINATED

New Leaf had towns, not islands. Shut up, idiot.

Fisher is like “I have been spending years, painstakingly collecting testimony from individuals who were affected by Whedon’s abusive behavior on set, and I’m still under an NDA so I’ll get in trouble if I speak up, unless I present such overwhelming evidence all at once that they’ll forgo enforcing the NDA, so all I

It’s not just Marvel’s TV division that has this problem...

Yeah, it’s really strange to see people taking Fisher’s word as holy writ without him actually saying anything. It wouldn’t take much to persuade me Joss Whedon is an abusive asshat...but I’d like to hear someone actually make allegations. Until then it’s a movie star being vague about a film that didn’t turn out how

Absolutely this. Fisher trash talking is meaningless compared to an actual accusation like this with real weight behind it.

The difference between Fisher “speaking out” about Whedon and this is that Shinkoda gave actual details. Like, imagine if Shinkoda had just referred to this as “gross, unprofessional, and abusive behavior.” We’d know none of this.

Here is my thought on cartoons and representation

How about you mention a real life example of an “-ism” where no one in power uses that power to abuse their subordinates?

Yeah, Stalin was a peach to work with.

Yeah. I don’t think Communist governments lacked for people in power (especially men) abusing those under them. Capitalism has plenty of problems but “people in power abusing that power” isn’t specific to it.

One of the many reasons I hope Biden wins is so we don’t have four more years of “Bernie woulda won.”

Biden literally just put out an entire comprehensive plan with Sanders that is the most progressive set of policies a presidential elect will have ever had if elected.  If that isnt enough and Kasich is enough to undo even that then the progressive wing really have lost the forest for the trees.

I mean, sure, that’s your basic defense. “I don’t even care”, that’s what cool kids do. Yet you’re still here, stating over and over again how much you don’t care.
