What solution would you advocate then, that doesn’t result in Israelis either being forcibly removed from the Middle East or exterminated altogether?

You didn’t enjoy the “straight white male who used to write a weekly column literally counting the number of boobs in a TV show yelling at other men for not being woke enough” version of the Funbag??

Oh I totally agree it’s all ridiculous! There’s just something extra ridiculous, at least in my mind, about the idea that this guy is either suing to get his $6.99 back, or that he’s suing for a million dollars or something (most likely the latter) over the emotional duress of his frozen dessert tasting slightly worse

Forget the overwhelming pettiness of suing over something like this... is he just suing to get his $6.99 back? There is no possible way he can be expecting punitive damages for having to like, go back to the store and get a different kind, right?

They can say “Hey, date whoever” all they want and yet after this negative many articles about a black man who is dating a white woman it’s hard not to see some anti-interractial relationship bias here.

Yeah, that was my biggest thought when reading this article. I know marriage pacts are a thing in movies, but usually at like 50...

I continue to regret the hyperbole of my initial post, but stand my point that TV has been better post 2000 (or 1999) than in any period before then, evidenced by the top of any “best of” list.

Which is something that, for just about every single other type of crime up to and including murder, I’m sure Deadspin is highly in favor of.

Last night’s episode of Chicago PD saw a white cop beat a hispanic inmate to within an inch of his life, and execute a different hispanic suspect in cold blood, without any consequences. In fact, the one law enforcement member who saw any legal consequences last night was a black officer who was arrested for bribing a

I still think if you have to get down to 5 or 6 to get out of a single era in any “best of all time list” that’s pretty darn impressive, but I’m realizing now I phrased my first point poorly and it came off as much more exaggerated than I meant it.

My point was that any era which includes at least the top 4 four consensus best shows ever is hardly the “nadir” of modern popular culture, and saying there are a lot of great 60/70s Canadian TV shows neither answers nor invalidates my question unless you are arguing one of them is actually considered to be better

There were a lot of good and great shows before the turn of the millenium, but in pretty much any list, the consensus top 4 shows of all time are all 2000 or later (with the exception of season 1 of the Sopranos).

Bourbon is only technically bourbon if it’s made in Kentucky. By that standard, I’m pretty sure all bourbons could be the homophobe’s whiskey of choice.

Ok so what’s your answer to my question?

The only comparisons across sports for how good he is are probably LeBron and Brady. So the answer is a definitive yes.

While there is certainly a lot of very, very bad entertainment out since the turn of the Millenium, how far down the list of best TV shows ever do you have to go before you get to even the first pre-1999 entry?

Whatever step it is, it includes a) Make sure each one’s strength completely overlaps with the others in a way that may well make them unplayable together.

Go figure, a white male who’s entire schtick is being super woke and super angry at anyone slightly less woke than he is, doesn’t quite live up to what he says.

The rest of the article notwitstanding, I’m not sure David Dayen has any clue what P3's actually entail, and I’m certainly not sure if Clio Chang realizes they gained popularity in the US during the Obama years, largely because of the TIFIA loans made available by his admnistration for these types of projects, or that

I know sexual assault is different, based on the nature of the crime and the fact that very few victims receive justice. But still, at some point places like Deadspin need to reconcile their stance of being extremely pro-justice system reform for the defendants/accused/guilty, with their stance that someone indicted
