Also really enjoyed highlight reel, but at least the og creator is still making them on youtube.

Well, the tweet linked in the article specifically said they were talking about creating an illustration, so I think the article knows the artist in question is an illustrator.
I think this is a good opportunity for somebody write a good story about how artists make living (or don’t).
Wait, perhaps my memory is failing me, but was the Witcher 1 that linear and/or bad? I remember doing a lot backtracking for some sidequests, and to my mind the main hubs were large, but not so large that that they had swathes of empty space like most open worlds. And the gameplay wasn’t that bad, especially if you…
I believe there’s at least two separate teams working at GameFreak, with the team from Legends not being the same one that worked on both S/V and Sword/Shield. I’m not sure to what extent they share resources, but I’m sure the positive reception of Legends must have influenced the development on S/V as well.
Wow, almost makes Sonic Frontiers look like a polished game.
I disagree, an AI does not have inspiration and it is not a human, so we should stop using arguments that liken it to humans to justify it or condemn it. It is a tool that is sampling the works of other people that a company is using to profit off of without the consent of original artists, it is not a person…
Well, that section of ToS also does clearly state in the first sentence:
Photoshop is a tool, it can also be used to clone art, it hasn’t destroyed the art world.
The tech *is* cool af, but “embrace it or get out of the way” is an incomplete line of thought: these AI programs could have to address a lot of legal loopholes and copyright issues that they’ve been skirting around and not mentioning. For example, if the AI is using Bobby’s art as a sample to create the art,…
To be fair, Gordon went 8 months without pay. If that’s true, it’s totally on the producer. I’d be grumpy after that too.
Except we should be able to also fuck the ones that look like weird space slugs and barnacles instead of being limited to just the ones that have two arms/two legs or look like blue human playboy bunnies with tentacle hair.
And I mean, that’s to not even to touch on Mr Popo, which is a whole other can of worms.
Hah, you’ve hit the nail on the head why me and my wife don’t go to Disneyland even though we’re about 90 minutes out. I don’t mind saving up for one super fun day, but where I draw the line is having to spend that entry cost only to spend 60% of that for the privilege of waiting in a fancy line. If any given ride has…
Damn that is so cool to hear! Would’ve never clicked if it was pointed out to me.
Haha oh man do I feel you. I love inventory management, it just hits a weird OCD sweet-spot for me. And yet NMS managed to make even that aspect challenging for me.
Maybe it’s because I grew up watching too many Italian dubs, but the Italian trailer didn’t do much for me. They’re kind of doing the same Chris Pratt thing of just.. talking like a normal person. The FRENCH trailer though, now THAT Mario sounded like he was voice acting!
Oh I had NOT seen that XD
To be fair, I’ve got a sad feeling it wasn’t all on entirely on Pratt. They probably asked the actors to NOT do a funny Martinet-like Italian accent. And as an Italian national, this still hurts me.
But it’s not a stolen design included on a fictional game character. Sure, if you gave that design to Lara Croft and called it a day, I’d say that stealing the design without permission. But if you’re re-creating the likeness of a real human being, who bears the ink on his real person, I think it’s a stretch to say…
