Ah cool. Guess I’m not sleeping tonight.

Yeah you are right.

Maybe I’m wrong, but based on your comment, I’m inclined to believe you didn’t play much Dota2 or LoL.. those scoreboards become fodder for player harassment and toxic behavior. Such as supports and other carries asking why you are screwing up or not getting anything done at a particular time point in the game. For a

You damn Renans!

You mean Iron Mask, aka Alphen? Dahnans are the local non-magic ethnicity of humans.

The SP was a friggin’ game-changer! Moreso than the the jump to DS, the addition of that simple backlight just made using portables so much more accessible.

I am. It’s warm in here. Please drink more Mountain Dew.

Yeah you’re technically right in lore terms, but in mechanical Smash terms, a sword and a keybalde would function identically. Generally, ‘Sword’ characters have basically the advantage of having a hitbox that can extend well-past their hurtbox because of the fact that they wield a weapon for every attack. Like if

What are the odds that Sakurai will finally add ma boi Geno - also a Square property??

Wanted to buy this game based on all the discussion that circulated around it. But I can’t bring myself to buy games that are single player-focused but are somehow only functional online (like the Hitman series). It is just a bad DRM practice that does nothing but inconvenience players. Don’t think they’ll ever make

Holy cow, is that the effect aim assist has? I’ve never seen it in action in a video before, I just assumed aim assist in games slightly compensated for a fraction of a would-be missed shot by either tweaking bullet trajectory or snapping to a target that your reticle was close enough to, not that they actively

I hope it wasn’t Red XIII...

Porn sites, you monster.

Oh shoot did I? My bad! Thanks for clarifying though, that’s honestly a relief (I REALLY despise cliffhangers, especially in JRPGs).

Great, I stated it 2 days ago, and NOW you tell me that it ends on a cliffhanger? Ari, where was this review 2 days ago?! You had a full 48 hours since the game’s release to play a reasonably long JRPG and write a review that was legible, and release it in time to suit my personal needs and you have failed me.

Haha yes, a lot of the content made nowadays is for streaming, where there really is no reason to not extend the credits. The viewer has the option to skip or watch, but it doesn’t cost anything to add time a credit sequence on streaming.

You’re right, it’s not a new practice. I was mainly saying this with the idea that there’s fewer and fewer actual in-house animators as time goes on, which means more studios just resort to outsourcing the bulk of their work.

As a sad side note or addition to this: if you’ve watched any US-based cartoon made for TV or streaming in recent years, odds are that it was partially, if not almost completely, animated overseas. The sad part is that these overseas studios are often only credited by the studio name as a collective entity, and always
