Yup open doors might help ward off scared players (me) or late game players looking for fresh loot. You should only ever close doors if you want to hear enemies approaching or you’re trying to fool someone into thinking the building is unlooted.

As much as I’d love to see a game like Mega Mario Bros, we all know our beloved Nintendo is often out of touch with modern 1980s arcade trends, so there is probably a 0% chance we will ever get to see anything like it. Plus scrolling screens would require an inordinate amount of sprites, so it’s a bit of an…
Totally recognize the blurred out MATN logo. Love that guy.
I think I love you, Tim Rogers.
I tested out their as-of-yet-unreleased SNES30 Pro at E3, which is like their current SNES30, but with triggers and joysticks. It ruins a bit of the classic SNES controller look in exchange for a modern layout that may make it compatible with recent releases. I can’t say I would mind using that instead of my…
Waited in line for 2 hours to play. I didn’t even play for the full amount of allotted time. I just tested the mechanics and passed the controller to the next guy in line.
Memorizing tiny circles? Impossible!
I’m a Kotaku fan and I’ll be going to E3 on Tuesday and Wednesday. I would love to greet some Kotaku staff there. Could you wear some obnoxiously neon yellow shirts so you are easy to locate? Cool, thanks!
In capitalist America maybe. But if you get eaten by bear in Russia, you deserve to be meal for bear.
Started playing path of exile over the weekend and I love it. But in what ways is this supposed to be like FF7?
I wouldn’t mind if they started screening everyone entering the building with cosplay weapons through a security check. Anyone with enough training in firearms should be able to discern between a toy and the real thing. Only thing is, it would make it a real pain for anyone with fake weapons to get inside the con. But…
Very good points on Lucio feeling like he has a lot of American influence. Can we talk about the fact that he speaks and sounds like an American (accent and everything) even though he’s supposed to be Brazilian?
Judging from the other comments, it sounds like I’m actually not.
If you think it’s any different in the US, you are wrong. It’s basically a miracle we have a union here thanks to a lot of complaining from poor working conditions in the old Disney days. And even then, the union is only local to California. The only reason some animators are able to survive in cities like NY (where…
As an animator in the ‘States, this is such an uninformed comment that it makes my head spin. Drawing things that are ‘worthwhile’ is such a relative statement. You can’t just go out into the street and start drawing ‘worthwhile’ (whatever that even means) things and magically print money. If you’re an animator, you…
Good to know, thanks! I guess I’m more accustomed to mechanics from FE6 - through to Awakening. So I’m not sure if I’m willing to give those up after feeling disappointed with Fates.
Thank you so much!
Heather, can you talk about the other systems the game implements? Like are the weapons durability based like in classic FE, or using the rebalancing system, no durability mechanics of Fates? Also, is the class upgrade system more or less unchanged (with the master seals and Second Seals)? Is there a world map and are…
Just to chime in, I’ve always taken the bloody nose gag to not be literal(or scientific, I mean come on, it’s anime), but more of a metaphor for a ‘blood rush to the head’ if you know what I mean (even though it’s not exclusive to male characters).
Keep em’up and thanks for making them! I love the highlight reels, they always bring a smile to my face.
