My folks didn’t teach me to hate; if anything, they taught me the opposite. I attended a church separate from my family in my late teens and early twenties, largely because I thought I knew better (but also because of a girl, if I’m being honest).

That said, I understand a great deal of what you’re saying here. Thank

This is an excellent comment. Much like yourself, I was raised in the church, and taught that all those who didn’t believe were the “other” to be feared, and that homosexuality was a perverse, depraved sin. And I believed it too.

When I went out into the world and met people, that all changed, and I still feel very

Gita, thank you for this--and particularly for taking the time to collect opinions from the broader fanbase.

I personally find what Jontron had to say during the “debate” (if such it can be called with a straight face) absolutely repugnant, on both a (personal) moral level, and as someone who is reasonably well-versed

A Zelda game is never late. Nor is it early. It arrives precisely when it means to.

Can we just start calling this the best game ever? This gets released on time, with basically no bugs, and is essentially a huge physics sandbox.

This game will be $60 forever. Best deal we will get is right now.

I remember buying games when I was younger and obsessiving over them so much, I would take the manuals with me to school to read them over and over until I got back home to play them again.

Your words sir. “I have no interest (negative interest really) in buying something that’s only going to tempt me to buy more shit” Such as video game systems, cars, homes, any sort of hobbies in general.

So do you just not buy game systems? Because you buy a system then it tempts you with games to purchase and as you said it’s a waste. Amiibos aren’t required for the Switch or Zelda at all. All the weapons and items you can get in the main game.

My wife is really into the spiritual stuff and reads the Tarot and likes to make elixirs and collect crystals etc. People tend to be very ignorant to what being a witch entails, it isn’t about curses or knowing the future. It’s about seeking spiritual balance and balancing your energy. I am not engaged in it myself

I work in a call center for a large insurance company, on my 15 minute breaks we have been playing snipperclips at my desk. I also have been playing a whole lot of Zelda on lunch.

Oh no people that want to jump right into games must be millenials. why is this even an insult :/

So never have kids then, gotcha.

I’m amazed at how quickly this game became one of my favorite games of all time. I’m nowhere near being done and I don’t want it to end.

Based on all of your posts, it seems very clear that you don’t actually have a Switch. So don’t talk shit about shit you don’t know. The FPS issues are very minor (FAR less severe than Witcher 3 FPS issues), the JoyCons are a perfectly reasonable size unless you have abnormally large hands, the analog stick

A “Bravely Default” for the Switch would certainly help sell me on the system.

I’m curious what you disliked so much about the Wii U UI.

I’ve had 6 smartphones in my adult life, never had a screen protector. Never had to deal with scratches. With my newest one, I’ve ditched cases entirely. Screens are built not to scratch these days. I would demonstrate this to customers at the electronics retailer I worked for by scraping my keys across the bear

See this is EXACTLY what Kotaku is good for and should do more often. Actually call out GAMING related companies and businesses that conduct shady business practices at the expense of their employees and gamers alike.

I currently work for GameStop. Yes, COL is a huge part of our business. However, if someone wants a new game, I’m gonna give it to then. Some customers prefer to purchase preowned so they can utilize the 7 day “Like it” guarantee. Why not have the extra security, if the game sucks, return it for full money back? I
