This seems a bit like Dave Despain’s argument for re-vamping the Indy 500 from 20 years ago. Originally 100 years ago, the Indy 500 was an endurance race. Auto tech soon progressed to the point that 500 miles is commonplace. Why not change the rules to improve the tech further to meet more stringent ecological

Glad someone brought up the ages. Wasn’t Judy Garland like 15 or 16 years old (IRL) in the 1939 original Wizard of Oz? Shame that Hollywood and Broadway haven’t found that same kind of talent these days.

These days, with so many vehicles from so many automakers built in U.S. factories and many vehicles from American brands built in countries such as Mexico and Canada, it can be hard to define what exactly makes a car American.”

Thanks for not flaming and making a solid comment because I agree whole heartedly with you! Employers should be like homeowners who ask unruly guests to leave. I tried my version of “Kaep can still play football! His Free Speech is being violated” on this group of sites since it’s one of Kaep’s biggest cheerleaders.

This GA boy agrees! Grew up a Flames fan (before they got sold to Calgary). Pens fan since 1984.

Gina Carano was my second favorite guest star on the Mando show - after Carl Weathers (RIP). Like others, she has her personal opinion. Remember that with the Twitter Files Elon Musk released, we see a lot of government repression of debate.

You just know that some H-obsessed fanboy came up with this and said “Look you can put on a popcorn tin!”

True that.

Chevy Corvette is the most misleading name.

Better than Diesel but still not good enough” - is the main takeaway I gather from this article.

Met him at a few Cons years ago. Always so kind and patient with overly enthusiastic people being fanboys/fangirls. A real calming presence about him IRL. He will be missed.

I hope Godzilla Minus One wins for Best Visual Effects since 35 CGI artists did a better job than the 1000+ did on AntMan and the Wasp: Quantumania for way less budget.

Thanks for the thoughtful, kindly worded reply. I sincerely appreciate that.

I have not watched Every MCU show as many - like Hellstrom - didn’t pique my interest. That said:

Agreed. In fact, almost all superheroes are best shown as animation. The MCU has gotten dodgier and dodgier CGI in the final acts, not to mention the travesty of She-Hulk - but have you seen Marvel Anime from around 2010-11? Wow. Loved it.

The episode where Kelly was tasked as a contestant on a Jeopardy! like game show. Bud tutored her, but said her mind could only hold so many facts, Three guesses to what she forgot in the final round to lose it all?

Agreed. If only students were still taught real economics in middle school like us old farts were. By associating learning math with income, interest rates, household budgeting, various taxes, etc., many of us realized that paying six figures with ridiculous interest rates for an income that only pays mid-five

My take is that we’re looking at more and more AI for customer service. I get it. People are hard to deal with, with some are downright arseholes. So yeah, it takes a great mindset whose jaded to deal with us. That said, I’d rather interact with a knowledgeable Person than even the best programmed robot.

Considering that most Hollywood awards shows continue to decline in viewership (down another 9% at 6.3 compared to 6.9 in 2021), how much longer until we can just forget this bunch of self-important awards being on TV?

No Godzilla Minus One, even in the non-English category? What a crockpot of crap.
