In 2023, thanks to greedy billionaires and giant, shitty companies, buying just about anything is a horrible experience.

Reminds me of the advice Admiral Kirk gave Captain Picard in Star Trek: Generations:

As someone who watched “Superstars of Wrestling” with Joe Pedicino on WATL Channel 36 Atlanta, this movie will be a must see. I fondly remember Dad and myself watching that show with its 6 hours of various regional wrestling organizations like WCCW (Dallas), AWA (Minneapolis), CWA (Memphis), and WWF (NY) back in the

It will be interesting to see how, or even if, Marvel plans to tell the complicated backstory of how this highly advanced society of isolationists in Wakanda sat by for centuries while Africans waged war on each other, then sold the surviving losing sides into slavery around the world, or even how they could tolerate

Toto’s score for the Lynch film was epic. Easily one of my favorite pop bands-do-movie-scores next to Queen’s Highlander and Daft Punk’s Tron: Legacy soundtracks.

He should have just flown to Mexico City and come across the open southern border when the other several hundred thousand able bodied men who do so every month. No papers? No problem.

Star Trek Strange New Worlds should have had a nod for Best Musical Score for the episode “Subspace Rhapsody” with Anson Mount (Captain Pike) up for Best Actor.

My Toyotas - a ‘98 Corolla and a ‘06 Scion xB - both lasted over 280K with the original engines. Transmission on the Corolla was worth more than the car, so “totaled”. The xB was just brittle dry-rotted plastic so a minor collusion ended up with extensive front end damage, but no replacement parts supply in 2021. xB

labor costs... yeah, about that.

Hunter only sells influence to his daddy. The guy you’re looking for George Bush. Had Bush given vast sums of US fiat currency to the UN to implement the Kyoto Protocols, then weather patterns could have been changed to prevent the rainfall issues in West Africa. Even Al “Florida will sink due to rising sea levels” Gor

Agreed. If she was “doing it all over again”, I somehow doubt she’d be a trad wife on a farm in France. Just imagine:

Year WithOUT Summer. As in sudden Global Cooling. Sheesh. Sorry.

Oddly no mention of the fact that humans are omnivores. We have different shaped teeth to chew our food - unlike obligate carnivores like Mako sharks or obligate herbivores like deer and cattle. As omnivores, we thrive best when we have (and eat) a variety of food.

Agreed. That turn of phrase makes it sound like Chalamet gave up wearing underwear after years of being bullied.

I’ve had numerous patients (teenage males) over the years claim to be ‘the best’ at doing doughnuts. I admit they’re better than I am but always defer to Ken Block before mentioning Travis Pastrana and Tanner Foust (with whom I’ve ridden shotgun for a Top 10 thrill of a lifetime).

Still better compositing than The Marvels, or Black Panther 2 - which look like they were rushed through at 4 o’clock on the day everyone was getting drinks after work.

Unlike Disney with various $200M budgeted flops, the better written and CGI’d $15M Godzilla Minus One basically recouped its budget on the opening weekend in the US alone! There’s probably a very short list of ‘low budget’ films with no marketing that have accomplished the same feat.

Godzilla Minus One is the best Godzilla film yet. I knew that Toho would go all out on the 70th anniversary - but damn was it good. Unlike The Marvels, the writing, music score, and acting in GMO made me actually care for the (human) main characters. Shame Disney claims they’re no longer keeping track of how much

Is it bad that Disney made a $200M movie with worse CGI than a $15M Godzilla movie? That the differences in writing between these movies made you care more for the humans in GMO than the superheroines of Marvel?

Sorry, but after Star Trek III, I can’t say that name without it being Gen-ah sis allowed is not. Is planet forbidden!
