Somewhat. The materials you can mine now stack to (apparently, at least on the ship) 9999, which is a VAST improvement to the 250 limit from before. Being able to organically gather as you explore and not have to constantly play “Which box does this fit in” helps out a lot so far, imo.

The mech wasn’t added for any competitive reason. It was added in an attempt to show up Respawn for not putting Titans in Apex Legends, their Titanfall spin-off battle royale. It backfired miserably, which is exactly what they deserve for their arrogance.

I think it makes sense to keep the A-10 in our arsenal. You don’t know who/when we will be fighting. These are proven and very effective platforms. It simply makes no sense to get rid of them, as long as these NK type regimes exist, anyway.

The A-10s have a psychological advantage compared to higher flying aircraft. I have a buddy on his 4th tour in Afghanistan. He is adamant about keeping the A-10 even though he readily admits its shortcomings.

A-10s are *strictly* for CAS where the aerial theatre has been secured.

Give them that and they are absolutely phenomenal.

Really though, I think hot wars with China or Russia will probably (70%?) involve nuclear weapons.

I mean... saying you should try to avoid a war that you know would lead to heavy casualties isn’t exactly terrible advice.

Turns out they are way better than expected in high threat environments. Flying low, they are hard for missiles to lock. Flying above 5k ft, they can’t be heard. Way better at helicopter stomping than anything else the usaf has. Oh and has won the air to air part of usaf wargames in the past.

So it’s just a matter of redesignating these as COIN aircraft then. Works for me.

Well the A-10 wouldn’t be used in a first wave type situation. Stealth fighters and bombers knock out the bulk of the enemy electronics, radar’s and such, then troops move in with A-10 in a support role. I don’t think there is much that would make an enemy shit there pants faster than to hear
