The Leaf is miserable by any measure. The Bolt is discontinued. The others are alright, but when you step up to the Niro, Ioniq5 and EV6, you’re stepping out of the price range the majority of single income or dual vehicle households can fit into a reasonable budget.

Sorry, was that supposed to make any sense? The general public (most of whom are Millennials and Gen Z at this point) would have trouble affording the monthly payment on anything over $30k, with a single income. Most people other than boomers can’t just shoehorn a $600/mo payment into their budget.

Your second sentence shows a staggering lack of understanding of the financial realities of most Americans.

The EV credits are incredibly restrictive, in terms of which models they apply to.

At their lowest spec, the model 3 is nearly $40,000, and the Model Y is nearly $50,000. The Bolt is dead product.

Gee, maybe they’d sell more if every EV the general public can afford wasn’t awful...

It’s amazing how little changes will be necessary to build a Lego version...

Thanks! I’ll definitely snag a copy of the game and start playing with it, and with food!

Anyone know if the recipes in the game are legit? I’m always looking to explore new food, and I’d love to learn some authentic recipes from a video game!

Didn’t someone on Jalopnik write an article about the J.W. Westcott a few years ago? A boat with its own zipcode?

That Frogtown one is bringing back memories, but somehow I doubt “Hell comes to Frogtown” is what the artist had in mind...

That’s the entire reason my next car isn’t going to be an EV. I’m not rich enough to buy one.

Spark plugs. In my defense, I drive a Subaru.

Why can’t I buy a car just like this?!

For train travel to be safe enough for the president to get around (at a comparatively leisurely pace, when looking at Air Force One as the alternative), our rail infrastructure would need some serious upgrades and maintenance work. It’s also far less secure, and difficult to avoid threats while traveling by train.

Which is exactly why I asked that question

I understand, but I was curious (since the article is specifically about how payload affects range) how the EVs stack up to ICE versions performing the same task.

I had the same sort of experience with my own gender dysphoria, the first time I played through Cyberpunk...

That’s funny, I came to the comments to mention SC, too. I backed the Kickstarter, the game has been given like half a billion dollar budget at this point, and over a decade later it’s still not a game...

Now playing

There’s a ska song about this kinda stuff...
