I know its cool on Jalopnik to hate on crew cab trucks, but we sure enjoy ours. Its real nice to have a vehicle that can haul my family while also hauling furniture from marketplace, an old fridge to my parents, 2 dirt bikes on a weekend, all of my wife’s trade show booth & inventory, and tow our small camper trailer

Naw man, I hate airlines as much as the next guy but you’ve gotta own this mistake, no whining to the news about it. It’s very clearly indicated on every booking system I’ve ever used that the names you input must match the document you’re travelling with. You could have caught this at any point before you got to the

I have ZERO sympathy for any grown adult that thinks using anything other than your actual name to book a flight is a good idea. This is a case of an idiot paying the price for being an idiot, which is something that doesn’t happen enough these days. I suppose they paid a pretty steep price for their idiocy, but I

Two best quotes ever in a movie

I love the idea of reducing drunk driving related incidents.. but as someone who does not drink alcohol.. I refuse to be forced to prove I didn’t drink just so I can drive my car. Guess I will stick to “old” cars then.

I’m sure it has nothing to do with their lucidicrous prices.

I’ve seen a suprising number of Lucids on the road where I live... and by that I mean “one or two every now and then.”

100% this. No matter how consistant you think you are going, you are not

I’ll be honest with you, on long trips it’s usually obvious who isn’t using cruise control, and they kind of drive me crazy. Cruise keeps things orderly on the interstate.

I read it in full. You’re advocating for vehicle inspections, ignition interlocks, and even more vehicle regulations that do nothing but make cars more bland and more expensive.

Yeah, and each car should be tracked at all times and an automatic $250 fine should be given anytime the speed limit is breached by 1 mph, and maybe we should have the government shove cameras and trackers up all of our asses that give us a shock anytime we do anything slightly dangerous or anything they disapprove

Yea, people really forget the logistics of having to repair a car. Breaking down at home is best case scenario. Crank position sensor fail at a busy intersection at night? Not great. Tow trucks, canceling plans, unexpected expenses, arranging a rental. If you’re down with the sickness, awesome, but most people are

With a $60k budget, I don’t see his motivation for wanting an EV as financial. Fixing what you have is almost always the cheaper option, but there are less quantitative costs of vehicle ownership to consider. Dependability has value beyond dollars and cents.

She got to experience the realities of owning an EV in the U.S. firsthand.”

The long and skinny is that if they expect recurring payments, then they need to provide recurring value. To turn on a feature isn’t recurring value. They need to be offering something that justifies a recurring fee. A service. Sat radio/nav/weather or some kind of concierge service or something like a cloud service.

I’m glad the season is getting a good review, but I didn’t read past the first couple of paragraphs — partially I want to avoid anything that even looks like a spoiler, but mostly because I don’t like this take that there was anything wrong with season three.

I’d buy one because I think they are cool and it would make me happy.

Then why did you click on a non tech story and even comment on it? The answer is because you don't come here for tech, you come here to bitch about things in the comments. At least that's what your actions say. You'll probably say something to the contrary but you know the old expression about actions and words.

I think unforunately, the adults of society are gone.

Since we’re talking books, I wonder if somebody will set up an anthology of Crowley/Aziraphale bits -- just the two of them bopping around history. You could do a G-rated version and then an R-rated book for the (ahem) mature shippers.
