Norwegian here, we get EVs first for obvious reasons and I’d say these two are certainly not entry level EVs. They’re fantastic mid-range cars.

The Ioniq 5 is really good, but the EV6 is better. Jalopnik has been praising basically all N cars. And I should have included Genesis, which turns the Jalopnik crew into PR writers...

Just one Hyundai/Kia? Expensive list you guys got here...

Different tech and business. We have good data on that from all around the world and EVs have a very low probability of burning - compared to vehicles propelled by flammable liquids. Surprisingly.

Good on you for not giving up, taking the Smart places that are Dumb (but fun), and writing about it. Loved the post!

What is this, failed sarcasm? This list is full of hits. A Chairman! C'mon!

Humans are in charge, and humans have a ridiculous tendency to be stupid. The fregatte that sunk off the coast of Bergen after a crash had its AIS turned off. Smuglers do that, too. Some don't repair faulty systems. The tech is there. Also: Alcohol.

*Morgan strikes “Toobs-n-stuff” off its customer list.*

I liked the Ioniq 5 very much, too, but the EV6 is so much better. Better to drive, better interior, buttons for the heated seats and steering wheel. And the screen isn’t offwhite as in the Hyundai, thus not reflecting in the windscreen.

Yes. The safety cell seems intact. Increasing standards are a blessing, but they have to be cautious not to ridicule all the advantages that have been made before.

Oldsmobile Aurora makes me sad...That's the car I want to buy for a cross country road trip when travelling gets permitted again. Sighs in Urobean.

Funny how Kinja suggests “load more slideshows”. Um, no.

It's an inherently conservative market, big sedans. I understand Lexus tries to not be anonymous, but they do so in an unpleasant way. My 2ct only.

I keep wondering if Lexus wouldn't have more success if it wasn't so unbearably ugly. Then again, they seem to be content with the sales?

The biggest surprise here is that this crashed plane might see air under its wings again. Let's hope Planefax shows the history correctly.

What is this, /r/antiwork? Don’t bring reasoning to this discussion, we’re just supposed to go “ah” and “oh” and maybe, “yay, school’s out”. Can’t have any of that socialist infiltration like living wages. Next you want education and health services for the general population? God damn commies are everywhere these

I agree wholeheartedly. When the deal first was struck, it sounded okay, albeit a %-based raise from a low base will not be enough for some. But stock options and performance bonuses - individual, not group bonuses like they already have - would have been a nice move on top of that. Everyone knows that JD was on track

Agreed, excellent article!

Jaguar made it to the top 5 brands sold here in Norway for a blip in time with that EV. Leave it to the Indo-British to design the only electric car that was sold back to the company under NDAs because it was just so shittily designed. Everybody else goes "wow, EVs are no hazzle at all!". Unfathomable.
