Fair enough, but that's still a bill the owners need to pay. I understand they're cheap to begin with, but if the cost are high later on...odd strategy.

FCA makes so poorly designed machines...why aren't they bankcrupt yet?

2300 freedom moneyz for an S60R? You're either joking or not a BaT-regular.

Pretty astonishing design, pleasant, modern, just...nice. But the side is too busy. Why can't designers just leave the doors alone?

Here in Norway, some big companies are paying dividends and bonuses right now, while asking for handouts of eerily similar value at the same time. Also, governments everywhere are propping up the private sector and expanding. The role of the state, and the printing presses at central banks, will warrant a proper

Does that sticker say 22 mpg? My 1977 Volvo 242 was better than that. With a stick, burning oil, and 250k kms on the clock. What am I not getting here?

It has a weak ass drum brake on one wheel and is geared to do about 80 kph with a steering as precise as a drunk Parkinson patient throwing darts. Of course you would want to drive it!

There’s perfection over at Ali’s, too, though:

Thing can’t look more Chinese than that. Might initiate seizures and heart attacks in a diesel bro and their house-sized truck...

Fantastic! I have 1200 orders off AliExpress and this will be exciting to see...you can never be really sure about what you will get.

I am not a truck guy, but the quality of this one is amazing! Even just the woodwork is exquisite - I’d struggle to get that right. So here’s basically a truck Michelangelo mastering measurement, planning, mechanics, welding, painting, woodwork and more in an improbable quickly finished project...two years! Very cool.

Still drove past a station today that offered gas at an equivalent of 8$/US gallon for the lowest quality 95 octane fuel. Different prices in Norway...but the OPEC implosion drew our currency with it. Time to yank up the local stock investments.

I am in Norway and am in the process of finding a Toyota Century. My ~DMV-ish organization was hard to deal with, but now I know how to get it registered here. I have found someone to go to auction for me who I choose to trust to find my dream car of 10 years. I set aside the funds on a separate account.

Yikes. That work place should have a stupid jar then. You'd throw the most intricate parties every fourth friday, well-funded.

I have been lamenting the idiocy of too big wheels since I have been 13 - almost 40 now. The trend has only accelerated in the last decade or so. Car interiors in, say, Volvos, used to be space efficient. Now that 20 inch wheels eat away it, a XC90 or V90 is way more cranped than you would expect. But you don’t need

Why do I need to scroll for two minutes to find the purrfect answer? Jalopnik, letting us down.

The museum is fantastic. But the panel gaps on a Polish prototype sure are...generous.
