“How closely have you been watching these trailers?”
Hehe, true, haven’t entered any brand new car for half a year. The new XC90 I’m talking about though isn’t Chinese made. Or are we talking about different things?
The S60L is being manufactured in China, as well as the old XC90. I’m not sure I’d agree to your analysis. A lot is pointing towards the first Geely-Volvo product being a true quality car. If anything, the press is surprised about high level of workmanship and ambition displayed.
Oooh...Packard. Bulbous, overengineered sedans, wagons and ‘verts with solid I8 engines. That’s an exercise I could get behind (in 10-15 years when used car prices get acceptable, that is).
The good thing about using desirable-ish cars for LeMons is that they need to be very cheap. Thus, they are crapcans. I’d rather see them use these cars in creative ways, spreading the glory, than seeing these cars crushed because it’s not economic to save them. With that said, the Scirocco never really was “good” by…
Audi driving school accomplishes special driving skill transfer with a bang.
Fire will follow you whereever you go.
Whatever colour is on the car that’s the best deal in the used car market. Mine is silver now, I prefer green and orange if I can choose though.
Here in Norway, they’re already everywhere. In every paper that has tested the car, also against the newest BMW X5 or Audi Q7, the Volvo came out as a solid winner. I was stunned at its sort of American size in real life - and its massive wheels. Car is available from ca 100k $ in Norway.
I drove a Honda Stream which is very popular in SE Asia - also for modders. It’s basically a BMW 2 of year 2k. Coming from ancient Volvos, this tiny seven seater has the tightest steering I’ve owned (still compares well to some new cars) and a quite aggressive camber. That combines to create a neatly cornering…
I agree. Personally, I’ve never signed a thing I didn’t understand (that wasn’t some sort if digital EULA, cough).
Are non-lawyers supposed to even know what “binding arbitration” means? Obviously, buying a Chrysler doesn’t make you a member of the MENSA club. So can you sue on the basis of a badly worded contract, too...?
Might fuel consumption be part of the answer??
I long for the days of more folksy rallye. How much does that VW in the lead photo look like a real Polo? Not enough.
The cargo area is a Norwegian thing: No seats in the rear and acertain amount of cubic centimeters volume made the car eligible as a work vehicle. That cut the new car price in half, since Norwegian taxes are pretty hefty. A Mustang V8 costs 146000$ because displacement, power and CO2-emission are taxed hard.
