Fuses...handy, but if you have a short in, say, the wiper motor on a rainy day, constantly replacing fuses will only get you so far. Ask me how I know.

Lincoln Marxism? I’d rather say that’s a potential GM name. Buick maybe? Limited edition: The Party’s always right.
It’s strange how science terms Goodwood undesirable. Speak for yourself, I say.
My favourite BMW design - imagine how a shooting brake of this car would have looked like!
I guess muscle cars are too high in demand to be used as restomods? A reliable fastback with a Lexus underneath sounds a bit pointless, too...
Wow, sounds like a truly reliable purchase! My first car was a ‘77 Volvo 242 in 2002, it worked well but needed occasional attention.
A true adventure! Cool. More and more details; please. Photos? Yes!
Agreed on the Mazda 5! Just that I live in a very wet place with coldish winters. Looking for the sevenseater in 2012 I saw lots of 5-6 year old Mazda 5 with severe rust already. Made me back up.
Haha, isn’t it good that this is a never-ending challenge? When we decided we need a seven seater - we live in the countryside and taking visiting kids home from kindergarten must involve a car - my wife was sure the “econobox”-deal was secured. I had her veto a Volvo 264 TE, a really rational seven seater option,…
Kinja didn’t load any replies, as happens occasionally, so I wonder aloud about something I assume others come up with, too:
Agreed - I know that feeling too well. Drove a couple of classics before I settled down with a house and kids etc. So that experience will come back!
Sort of good to hear that I’m not the only one! Nothing except the typing itself works at first attempt...strange for a website this big. Opera works better, too.
Oh man, Kinja on Firefox for Android kills the formatting spirit. But everybody here knows the order of things in that post, right?
The Tatra reference is spot on. Even when toying with ideas, VW-san is not too original. That said, it looks great. I like the restrained, Soviet looks of it.
I am used to compare to German prices, who basically only have a 19% VAT. Norway usually doubles that, and then some, but the heavier, more powerful and less efficient cars become, the worse the taxation is.
Norway calling. In our country, the Mustang GT starts at 152000$ due to high taxation of displacement, power and pollution: (Well, Kinja for phones won’t let me post a link - google “Nye Mustang GT pris” to verify). The price of gas has fallen from ca 9.5$/gallon to around 7.5$/gallon, which I consider cheap.
