Spencer isn't really bad with Black characters tho that's more of a Waid issue.

That's not really true though, the tentpole books have been meh but all of Marvels more diverse stuff has been good to great.

Marvel's been rebuilding it's bench over the past two years and it shows, a lot of new writers have been brought on while mainstays are pushed to heavy hitter books. It sometimes works like with Spencer but other times it burns writers out

I'm liking Spencers Cap , whats wrong with it ?

Hell you could do a great piece on cities synomous with decay like Detroit or cultural meccas like New Orleans

I think that the Stand is my favorite King works just because of how good the first portion of the books is. The way King displays the slow rot and collapse of civilization with few if any of the characters realizing what was going on until it was far too late was masterful.

But clowns are inherently creepy man, If I see a clown anywhere even at a circus I get a little uneasy.

The only good podcast in that style is the Bodega Boys

Man I haven't seen animated action(western or otherwise) this inventive and fun in a long while, the entire battle in the snow was absolutely spectacular.

I'd by this more if literally any of his policy goals were being achieved at the moment. But Trump's immigraitob ans have failed, his wall is stalled, his budget is a fucking mess and his replacement for obamacare is a complete flop. I don't see any solid long term planning out of Trump no strategic insight or

DC rebirth wasn't a real shock to the system either creator wise but a new status quo and tighter editorial control can do wonders.

Why do people dislike Trudeau as a policymaker, I know he backed track on voting reform but has made any serious blunders to alienate the Candian population ?

What do you guys think about the latest comics controversy with Magneto ? I feel like people are jumping the gun on this one, a variant cover rarely if ever actually tells us whats going on in the comic at large. This feels like extended Nick Spencer bakclash only this time over something he has no control over.

Ultimates, OML, Moon Knight, Nova and U.S. Avengers are also really good

Gen X looks to be really good going off of what I've read about it and heard and the rest of RessurXion seems to be at least solid. Iceman and Jean Grey in particular look excting

Occupy is a really good series with a really shitty title. Also read Ultimates it's one of the the best book csoming out of the big 2.

His She Hulk is good and his Daredevil is really good after a weak opening arc.

I mean they could get Ewing, Loveness, Spencer, Cain or Walker to write a title . Marvel has a lot of talent it's just not really putting them on mainline books. And who knows rebirth got Humphries to write a decent book so I wouldn't be surprised if Guggenheim pulls out something good. Though I'm guessing that Gen X

Soule is very hit or miss, but when hes on he's good.

AV Club comment fuckery aside I'm really excited for the Get Down part II. I know it got mixed reviews on here but I feel like they missed a lot of what make sthe show so great. It's a big over the top celebration of hip hop and the culture that birthed it and there's nothing else that's quite as exuberant or fun out
