I mean, there was enough left in the finale for a 3rd season to work, The disintigration of the Murphy family and the GR in Jarden are both plotlines that could work for S3.

The Leftovers in general reminds me of Evangelion in terms of themes and character arcs. Theyre both about the hedgehogs dilemma so its not all that surprising.

I mean Brainiac would at least be a more interesting villain, Doomsday just exists to pummel the fuck out of the Justice league which in this film is about 3 people.

They also have to work in Aquaman and Cyborg into a two hour film so I'm assuming at the end they just kinda walk onto the set stand around awkwardly and leave without comment
