@Pinkerton:

Now *I* can be smug because I drive a Chevy made in Korea and that makes me better because that makes me more American.

So, wait, you're saying you like the eco friendly car? In that case, shouldn't you be making fun of yourself?

The Vette has image problems if you're trying to avoid the midlife crisis look. Any old jeep wouldn't be my pick, but this is a one-of-a-kind, and so it's the easy choice.

What the heck? Why is it only for A/C, why can't it passively charge the battery while the car sits?

I'm not sure it matters what I buy if I buy only used cars. And my American Car is a Mazda (thanks, Ford), which I enjoy owning, but I'm not proud of it.

I don't understand why people buy an Aveo new when they could buy many many better used cars for less.

Various random used cars are always going to win this one.

That thing will be great for running over civilians!

Rumor has it the "hornet" will actually be named either the Horizon or the Omni.

That's a sweet comb-over.

Great, people are actually buying something closer to what they will use rather than what they think they want.

Woah, he's gotta be doing like 57 mph in that thing!

But I like Jimmy Carter...

I'd buy a diesel version. I hear rumors of folks going easy on em and getting 100 mpg, and that makes a lot more sense for a commuter.

Fine, fine, bring it here and call it the Pontiac Aztec.

Oops! I didn't see that they're starting in New England...that makes a lot more sense.

There is a shorter, and probably faster route.

A couple of years ago, a friend gave me an 84 chevy celebrity with 40k miles on it. A couple of years before that, another friend had given me an 86 mercury cougar with 276k miles. Both great beaters.

Finally, the russian version of the Honda Element.
