I am amazed how much you can do with the iWork apps on a phone.

"I'd shut it down and give the money back to the shareholders"

Generalisations.

Only if you believe the "hype" that they are controlling the user. I prefer to believe they are controlling the product to maintain its quality which is what every good manufacturer should do.

Have you seen Lion? Nothing lost, only gains. The kernel makes no difference, what I was pointing out was reality. It was easy for them to justify the walled garden in a new market, not so easy in something that has existed for 25 years

Again the references to "locking down".

Interesting that Expose is viewed as a "power user" tool.

Hey, you! Get off of my iCloud

This sounds absolutely awesome

I must admit I did something very similar to my PC after I borrowed a Macbook for a few weeks and liked it so much I bought by first iMac.

ANd the reason they use this chip? Because it provides the best performance compromise. Look at Samsung's similar ultralight that uses a newer chipset but has inferior performance due to being saddled with an inferior GPU. Apple new exactly what they were doing using it the Core2Duo and it has everything to do with

You missed the /s off the end of your post.
