Kozelek's behavior as of late is truly bizarre, but if he wants to join the ranks of the big-league rock a-holes, he's going to have to get the War on Drugs fired from a huge tour over the silliest perceived slight and still be mad about it fifteen or twenty years later.

Maybe "loathsome" was a bit strong. But in seemingly every thing I've read with him, he comes off as just awful. If he's not going out of his way to denigrate old band mates' musical skill or personality, then he's taking aim at other musicians. Or lamenting that he's not treated with more reverence. A nonsensical

I really like the first three records, although Mellon Collie probably could have been trimmed into one disc. Somewhere after that, he seemed to go off the rails, and he comes off as being a petulant egomaniac any time he opens his mouth. I kind of love how angry he was about PJ Harvey being ranked above him in

This is all right, I guess, but at this point, it's pretty summon up a damn. Great artists can get away with a lot, but judging by any interview he's ever given, the new music would need to be a lot better or he would need to be way less straight-up loathsome.

Because the name The Smashing Pumpkins reminds people of some good records in the '90s, while the name Billy Corgan reminds people of Billy Corgan.

They'd have to do it over Buckminster Fuller's dead body. Oh, wait…

Some of the humor is cringe-inducing, sure, but WWDTM is entertaining enough to have on in the background on Saturday morning. Plus, it's weird to think that the host wrote a Dirty Dancing sequel, and it keeps Paula Poundstone off the streets.

PHC is the absolute worst. I get that the band is very talented, but man oh man are they corny when they attempt various genres. I've never heard someone manage to make bluegrass sound even whiter.

Rob Cordry was drunkenly heckling Paul F Tompkins? Rough times.
