Holy shit! Formerly broke ass immigrant student speaking here! I know exactly what you mean. The tuition is much higher for immigrants, at state schools, at least, and the insurances, red tape, currency difference really drains your pockets out. Making this out to be about ‘chivalry’ instead of a woman’s prerogative…
