I know exactly what you mean. Most cars I’ve driven recently have the ability to increase or decrease the cruise speed in 1mph increments. That helps. But radar cruise is also really nice. It remembers the speed you want to go, so once you’re clear, it will. It’s great.

You’re absolutely not wrong about this. I’ve owned almost exclusively Japanese cars, and all of them have cruise that works very consistently. Most American cars I’ve driven, including my own F150, are pretty terrible at maintaining consistent speed.

I’ll be honest with you, on long trips it’s usually obvious who isn’t using cruise control, and they kind of drive me crazy. Cruise keeps things orderly on the interstate.

I do a lot of mountain biking in Pisgah, and I see no end of trucks (like mine, let’s be clear) with racks and tailgate pads. They’re way overkill for the purpose.

This tow company sounds like a right bunch of shitbags. But nobody should be threatened with violence over this. Nobody’s lives should be in danger.

Something similar happened to me with the actual police. I left my car’s windows cracked, and my parking tag blew off onto the dash, face up where it was clearly visible. I found the ticket and the parking enforcement officer was still on the lot, so I thought maybe we could have a reasonable conversation about it.

I was skeptical about the value of remote start until I had a car with it. I use it a lot less now that I live somewhere more temperate, but it’s a brilliant feature - especially if you can use a phone app and start it from outside of of key fob range.

Lol. Take your star.

This is a totally fair point. The transition to EVs is happening at the same time that the industry is also transitioning away from affordable cars, period.

Yeah, I have to agree with those saying W123. I have an ‘83 wagon with the turbo diesel. They just keep going, even if treated poorly.

Subaru SVX. I genuinely think that an automatic fits its GT nature quite well. But all Subaru had at the time was a lousy, fragile four-speed. That car deserves something more modern like a six or seven-speed auto, or a DCT. It would be incredible.

Make sure you click through to the apparel brand’s site and scroll down to the conveyor of people wearing the clothes. I find it oddly funny.

Ditto. Came here to say the Rogue as well. No question.

Wait. The thefts were random and opportunistic, but it was an organized ring of thirty people?

This is a country where a portion of the population literally idolizes those who murder in public or try to subvert an election. It’s not actually far-fetched.

I cannot imagine paying a markup on a Nissan Kicks. That’s a staggering revelation.

What I’m saying is that Ricciardo didn’t have time because he reacted too late. I think he could have reacted earlier.

If he braked heavily enough to lock up and go straight off into the wall, then no. He could not have tried to get below Piastri. Doing so would have required Ricciardo to react much earlier than he did.

Man, you can have the discussion without being a jerk.

I did, in fact, watch the onboard.
