I only recently heard about Out Motorsports a few weeks ago. Somebody shared a post about them in a Midwest racing group on Facebook and I bought a t-shirt immediately. If my wearing it ever helps anybody feel more welcome, excellent. I didn’t know they had memberships. I’ll be happy to join today.

I do kind of get the defense of AAA I see on this post. They’re a non-profit. If they were a for-profit corporation, I’d feel a lot less bad for them. Taking advantage of a non-profit is a bit gross. I still love you, though.

I would say instead that we need to be realistic about what corporations will do with those regulations, and probably not let them dictate what those regulations look like.

I have long thought those keypads were a funny relic. Last year when I bought my F150, I chuckled at those buttons.

I think I understand where Binotto is coming from, though. They’re not panicking. There’s just not a lot they can actually do about it for now. Hopefully they’re diligently and quietly working away at home to make 2022 a come-back year.

I bought a Salsa Spearfish. It feels like a very middle-of-the-road, modern trail bike that probably does nothing except climbing extremely well. I am having a blast on it, but I can imagine that it’ll teach me what kind of more slightly extreme bike I’ll get next. Higher-end trail, enduro, or XC? I don’t know yet,…

I got back into mountain biking this year after a dozen years or so away from the trails. I built up a late-90s Schwinn Homegrown Factory full-suspension frame with mostly period parts. It got a new fork, along with some other bits.
