I have the shame of having been beaten by a Paseo in motorsports competition. No, wait, stop laughing. I’ll tell you about it.
My kids (7 and 4) watched an F1 prerace show with me this season. I’ve been a fan of F1 for nearly twenty years, and This was the first time I was ever really bothered by the grid girls. My kids didn’t see another woman on the grid. No female drivers or team principals interviewed. No female commentators.
Wild. I bought a Benz from this seller about four years ago.
I have been to the Bong Recreation Area. It isn’t far from where I grew up.
I don’t think picking on an easy target like Honda excludes the possible hope of them doing better. I don’t get the impression that Jalopnik WANTS Honda to fail. They just are.
Thank you very much for sharing your expert opinion. I appreciate it.
This is pretty fantastic. What an amazing heirloom.
I had a Justy for a few years, and I can attest to its ability to jump. My three-door only weighed about 1800lbs. For my route out of Ann Arbor after work, I found a path and timed lights so that I could get most of the way without stopping. But it required me to get the car airborne off some slightly elevated…
So conflicted... I had a Justy for a few years and it was epic. It was the car with which I began my motorsports journey. It was hilariously simple, unsafe and slow.
I think what makes me sad about this is that he only really regrets selling it because it has appreciated since then. Don’t get me wrong, you don’t often get to be rich without being smart about your money. But to only regret selling it because it increased in value after the fact makes him not my kind of car guy.
CHEMTRAILS VERIFIED
Man, I congratulate you for getting those three broken screws out. I don’t have that much luck with them. But I have certainly made many, many blunders. Let me tell you about the first one that comes to mind.
I’m actually thinking first-gen Mazda MX-6.
I have never heard a 787B in person. But I have had a P-51D Mustang dive at me. That will probably remain the most amazing machine noise I’ve ever heard, until I do get to see one. :)
I try very hard to not be a brand loyalist. They’re companies, after all, not people.
Hmm. My old Explorer is getting pretty ratty, and with my daughter finishing preschool next spring, I am considering a new daily driver that can tow my race car several times a year...
‘The Wankel Rotary is the finest engine ever conceived’ is sure to cause some violence.
My son desperately wants to race. He autocrossed a kart when he was five, but then our local club stopped running karts. I would absolutely not subject him to the kart-racing world. I saw some of those kids and their teams at Pitt Race when I was there over the summer. Uh-uh. No way do I want him in that world.
I bought a new Outback last year. The Buick’s 1SV trim is very smartly aimed at the volume seller in the Outback line, the 2.5i. I definitely would have gone to check one out, had it been available last year. And I have not tended to give GM the time of day before.
