There was actually a guy in a previous Wonder Woman comment thread who kept talking about how Themyscira is a sexist society as though he was genuinely aggrieved that he couldn't go there. It was wild.

Having worked in a theatre, I'm sad to report that there are plenty of people who feel their rights have been infringed when a screening sells out, or when they don't get their preferred seat in a busy session.

I'm sure we can come up with all kinds of hypotheticals to cast these two screenings, from which men were not even banned in the first place, in a negative light. I'm equally sure that if that's the hill we choose to die on, we're being petty, spiteful assholes. Anyway, I'm done with this. It's two fucking screenings

"If the desired effect doesn't literally involve vibration, what does it involve?"

I said it last time, but I really think this is a spirit of the law vs letter of the law thing. Anti-discrimination laws weren't designed to protect whiny fucking dudes who feel entitled to every space in the world. Strictly speaking, you're right about the letter of the law here. Good for you. Doesn't mean this guy

This line of argument went really well for all the shitheads that got deleted last time this came up.

But this dingus isn't complaining because the city ordnance exists, he found the city ordnance because he had a pre-existing complaint.

The meaning of 'vibrant' you're insisting on here is the less common of the two, though. When people say they live in a vibrant neighbourhood they don't mean it's constantly shaking.

We get pretty fucking furious when someone calls us racist.

I think a lot of the guys on the BAC (Iger, Musk et al) maybe thought it would be better to be on the inside and potentially have a moderating influence, but that might be meeting them more than halfway.

I don't hate it, but I can see why people do, ya know?

More like Anton Jackoff amirite

It was directed at me. I deleted the post in a fit of embarassment.

Nah, it's pejorative (or self-deprecating if people are using it to refer to themselves) in a way 'fan' doesn't get across.

Let's hope, huh?

Local artisanal superheros taste better anyway, haha.

Sweet gig if you can get it.

I think Jewish people have been conditionally admitted into the construct of whiteness at this point. Either way, as an exec, Perlmutter would likely see the decision not to have minority leads as a purely pragmatic economic one rather than being motivated by white supremacy. The result is the same though, and I don't

Sure, all the 'pew-pew' stuff is true, but that's a function of the genre. To me it felt more like the heightened nature and abilities of Captain America required a threat greater than the Nazis, who we beat IRL without Captain America. And also, yeah, you can't really sell a Red Skull action figure if he's wearing a

They didn't even bother to hide that he was gonna be the first one to buy it by giving him a character intro.
