Well if you're too lazy to I don't see why I should.

I imagine someone would need to bring this to their attention via a formal complaint. Maybe you could be the hero men who weren't actually excluded from one screening of a superhero movie clearly need.

I'd say there's an argument to be mounted here about spirit vs. letter of the law, but I don't really care to make it.

My mistake, I didn't realise Alamo Drafthouse had a venue in New York City. The one hosting the screening is in Austin, but if you think you have a shot at getting the company fined for this go for it.

You might have trouble bringing a civil case under New York State law in Texas, but by all means give it a try.

Did any of you guys read the article where it said this guy was able to buy a ticket totally unimpeded?

No one was excluded from the screening, as the article indicates. It was a promotional event, much like ladies nights or parent/child screenings. I know it stings not being welcomed with open arms into every single available space, so I'm sure you can sympathise with the women and minorities for whom that has

Where's the hypocrisy? If you need a safe space I think you should take the initiative and create one. You obviously have some stuff you need to work through, and maybe spending time with people who have the same issues would help.

Would you say that the AV Club's politics mean it's no longer a safe space for you?

You are doing a spot-on impersonation of someone who cares, though.

Yeah, you're right. I can't see how there'a a valid distinction if in both cases Alamo Drafthouse are just straight up selling the tickets to the public.

Hypocrisy isn't generally much of a problem for these guys.

I have a feeling the same few dinguses on Twitter would also have a problem with a women-only private function, but you may well be right about this from a legal perspective.

"I am absolutely not emotionally invested in the Academy Award winning Suicide Squad, which I have contended is the finest piece of cinema released in 2016."

I'd much rather be emotionally invested in creative product I enjoy than weirdly obsessed with people who happen to like things I don't.

Well I'll bet they're working to the best of their ability and definitely not undermining you whenever possible, since you seem like such a pleasant man to work for.

Back in the lead up to the Iraq war the same dillholes were buying French wine so they could tip it down the drain.

Sort of like how you talk about MCU fanboys more than you ever talk about why you're a DCU fanboy?
