Just waiting for Disney to buy them and/or their patents out right.

I predict I will walk around with this at a con

Two possible reasons for that IMO:

Kylo Ren’s lightsaber DEFINITELY looks weird. It’s all frizzy along the edges of its blade, like it’s unstable or something.

So..... mother fuckin’ magnets .... again doing amazing shit? HOW DO THEY WORK????

I remember the answer to that from the short story. “Let there be light.”

Well, yes and no. Neil deGrasse Tyson said it really well: “If we have the technology to transform another planet into Earth then we have the technology to transform Earth back into Earth.

The surface of the earth cooling would have no effect on the molten core. More than half of the heat in the core is generated by the decay of nuclear material, once that runs out our core will cool considerably and we’ll be boned. Hopefully we’re a multi-planet species by then though.

For a magnetic field to exist, there needs to be a molten iron core. Initial heat from planetary formation, immense pressure, and radioactive material all add to geothermal heat. Mars certainly has less pressure at its core, as it is much smaller, and it probably had less initial heat and radioactive material, as it

Sorry...that was me. I accidentally detached the double-A battery leading to Mars’ poles. My bad; won’t happen again.

so then the question becomes “how did Mars lose its magnetic field?”

Make that two.

They forgot one!

Would be a total shame.

This reminds me of the Magic School Bus. “Today class we will be shrinking down to the molecular scale to see how Nano-machines work. Stay close and watch for any free flying atoms."

Hey, I like a good lens flare every now and then.

Yay! New Star Trek.
