Gilpin is really taking over the show in this backhalf.

The best thing about Sam's movie idea is that he describes it as "autobiographical".

He drags the whole show down. He served his purpose, he can go now.

Probably both. This was (except for Debbie's ending) pure joy.

I imagine that's where the tension rears its head again, especially with Rich Sommer back, will Debbie ever truly be able to forgive her and agree to give Ruth a win?

"what the hell did either of them see in Rich Somner's character?!?"

What's the story there?

There's only one Nick.

"I'd love to tell you we have a packed show. But there's only about 20 or 30 people out there, mostly freaks, some children, and a homeless guy. Anyway… break a leg!"

Like with Bash, I feel like they could write the brothers as rather pervy but I like the wholesomeness of them.

Oh man, finally, a montage. And what a montage! But, oh no, sadly it's upstaged immediately, by Rhonda rapping.

Little Children rules.

"Wrong number."

Would have felt hacky coming out of anyone other than Moran's mouth. A line he was born to read.

I want to add, I know they have Gregory thinking she's a hooker (and, one look at what anyone is wearing, I see that) but I wish they dressed Ruth down more and had her wear baggier, far more unappealing clothes (kind of like the opening scene). It'd create a great contrast with the way everyone else dresses

Brie wrestling herself at the start should be the tape she sends in for Emmy consideration.

This episode really hammered home how made for each other Ruth and Debbie are. The whole light/dark, yin/yang effect, they complete one another. It's also fun to see how easy adaptable Debbie is to her persona while Ruth really struggles, and the way they come together - while the hostility is there - is kind of

Could have watched a very long montage of Liberty Belle trying out potential heels.

It explains it. I don't remember anybody disliking her so intently before that.

I'll never understand what people don't like about Anne Hathaway.
