In before Elon Musk fellating dipshits.
In before Elon Musk fellating dipshits.
Yeah that’s exactly the issue I’m grappling with here. Part of me wants to tell her to publish what she wants to say on Medium if she’s not looking for feedback, because we all know what Twitter is and who we tend to find there. At the same time, there’s no way that this should’ve been the ultimate result of clapping…
How much you want to bet there wasn’t a single black person on the creative team? As a white person who used to be heavily involved in theater, we can convince our dumb asses that anything is art and worth doing when there’s nobody to say no.
A daycare teacher once did this to my kid. Said she used a tissue as a dam but holy shit we were out of that daycare so fast.
Seriously one of the most beautiful sequences I've ever seen. I knew it would turn into something as soon as Courtois got rid of the ball.
The two I took were from the same guy and both times I just said “FUCK YOU!” right as he was getting ready to run up. Stunning that I didn’t get in trouble since we were in high school and everyone could hear it but I think everyone was like “if he can do that and save penalties maybe let’s let it ride.”
Okay, so let me get this straight: you’re suggesting one of two things here, whether you know it or not.
1. Shinsuke had a bomb and the cops ordered the dog to attack him
I was keeper for two penalty kicks during my time. I saved them both and hope I never have to take another one because it is abjectly fucking terrifying. Oddly enough, as I think back on it, I stayed in the middle and the guy shot down the center both times.
I mean wasn’t J.R. a part of the showrunning group at that point? I don’t think he was the head of talent relations like he would eventually be but he was always closely involved with story.
No, but they may bite the person carrying it. I mean realize that most bombings these days aren’t a case of “set a ticking time bomb and leave like an 80s action movie” and more “strap a bomb to yourself and set it off”
Those dogs are basically trained to be on a hair trigger at all times. JUST on this side of really savaging someone. Handler makes a small slip and anything can happen.
For some reason I thought he was going to be putting a little girl a Bret Hart style sharpshooter. I’m glad he didn’t do that.
Have you heard of the Weathermen, you dumb motherfucker? His point was that all these people talking about civility have no idea what it REALLY means to not be civil.
No it was Mike Matheny. Koskie had post-concussion syndrome but didn’t retire because of that. He retired, he says, due to PTSD related fear of injury.
That’s true, but again the issue is really how often you deal with head trauma. Some positions in the NFL take shots to the head on virtually every play. Concussions aren’t baked into almost any other sport the way that it is in the NFL.
No worries, I thought you were asking if there were maybe some guys in baseball who had preemptively retired due to concerns about head trauma and I don’t believe there have been. The problem with baseball is that there’s still a real culture of silence around that stuff the way there is in the NFL around PEDs. So…
I’m thinking from 1960 onward, when you first begin to see actual batting helmets on players where previously they would just wear a cap. And again, I’m talking about baseball, so I’m not sure how Chris Borland plays into what I’ve said. If you’re asking are there guys who have quit baseball in fear of head trauma, I…
I mean in baseball at least we can say its relatively low compared to football. We don’t have as much data, but since the hard-helmet era exactly one player has had to retire from post-concussion syndrome, which is not the same thing as CTE obviously but it does suggest the same kind of impacts.
Yeah there is not a single part of me that wants to watch this.
And you don’t get to gloss over history because you don’t like that people are noticing fucked up shit.
