Unbelievable. Un-fucking-believable. Show me any shred of evidence that congress would be “forced” to do anything, whatsoever, to cross him? Recall, if you will, that Nixon and Watergate happened with a democratic congress.

It is not what Mueller has been investigating, but it is why he has been working in concert with the New York attorney general’s office. He knows, as you should, that nothing will stick at the federal level. It boggles my mind that you think congress would do anything against him at this point.

Do you understand that he can pardon any and all of them? Including himself, because there is nothing in the constitution saying that he CAN’T? The entire idea that they will get him rests on making a case at the state level in New York, which relies in getting Trump for money laundering through his businesses,

And are they in jail? They will cut deals that will ensure they will not be seeing the inside of a prison cell. At best, you may get Manafort as a symbolic thing the way they got G. Gordon Liddy.

Not a fucking chance and if you seriously still believe that you are dreaming and should wake up. Robert Mueller is not going to save us.

I’m in total agreement about the economic makeup of Trump’s base, and I try my best to scream about it at the top of my lungs. But we’re not just talking about Trump voters, right? If you tally up Trump voters plus the great mass of people who just didn’t vote at all (go ahead and throw in the few who went 3rd party

Not a single person is going to go to prison over this and you should know that by now. Nothing will happen. It’s not that I don’t WANT people to go to prison, it’s just that I’ve learned not to have any expectations of such after ZERO bankers went to jail over the foreclosure crisis.

If you’re suggesting that there aren’t people in real economic peril out there who, stupid as it may be, decided that it was Obama’s fault when the recovery didn’t come to their corner of the world, I’ve got bad news for you.

He will be writing Tom Clancy style thrillers in a couple of months and be doing very well at it. That’s my best bet.

Maybe we just shouldn’t elect any celebrity president? can we all just agree on that?

lol okay

There are fewer of them to wrangle, and because the senate is based on statewide elections you tend to have cooler heads on both sides of the isle. The house is just an absurd place.

Massive IF, but the democrats in the senate do seem to have a much easier time with these things. So far they’ve been pretty good at watching what goes on in the house and reacting to it. If house dems do something fucking stupid and it plays poorly in the press, the senate dems GENERALLY don’t repeat the mistake.

Isn’t she like, comically corrupt? I know there have been some pretty serious accusations of graft and kickbacks to her husband.

She also supported Sanders. Which is bad I guess. People aren’t allowed to choose sides in a...primary intended to choose candidates for president?

I’m not saying its gonna come to anything, but I am saying that he’ll fillibuster AND vote no, which means that if democrats can keep their whole caucus in line only one republican needs to flip, however unlikely that might be.

Kind of amazing that the democrats could get dunked on so badly and still think “Well, since we’re guaranteed to win the executive branch we should really just keep piling onto its powers!” Because that was always their logic previously, that they needed as much imperial power in the executive cause they had no hope

I don’t like Rand but when he says something like this he typically means it. His principles are mostly dumb as hell but he does have them.

That’s more along the lines of what I was expecting.
