Yeah I just want to point out that this comment was from before the game got good.

There are reasons to avoid watching any Thursday night game imo

IIRC the first time they had a game with the Bills and the Jets there were colorblind people trying to watch who literally couldn’t handle it, so it wouldn’t surprise me if they toned down greens and reds.

Tarantino is a strange guy. He just kind of gives off that vibe. That said, I feel like people who are more open and comfortable with their own strangeness are a lot less likely to do the kinds of things Harvey Weinstein has done.

I used to do something like this when I played in high school. We didn’t have a machine like it sounds like they have but myself and the other keeper on the team had a drill where we’d use ping pong balls. They’re much harder to catch than they seem cause they’re so light so we’d use it to practice having soft hands.

Well yeah. It’s like telling people to solve global warming by not having kids. Maybe that would help at some minute level but the reality is there are systemic problems that aren’t going to change if we put the burden on individuals.

That’s kind of what I keep thinking. I would honestly believe him more if he just said “I kinda froze and didn’t really know what to do.” Because that shit happens to otherwise good people in the face of things like this. So I can appreciate his apparent shame, but I’m not sure this all holds water really.

I guess I’m more willing to accept it from someone like Skeet Ulrich who said something similar, but with the caveat that he just felt he couldn’t do anything about it because of who he is and where he sits on the Hollywood ladder. I love Tarantino’s movies, but I think he probably has the amount of clout in

How does it not?

Totally agree, I just don’t see the path right now. But then I work at a REALLY small library and we pretty much just waive fines unless they’re really egregious.

Uh...yes it does. It is a public institution and its board is at least in part appointed by the state government.

Ignoring the nazis worked out pretty good for Neville Chamberlain, yeah?

He invited himself. They have venues that can be rented and because they’re an arm of the state government they don’t have the legal right to bar him from doing it.

No, it’s really not. See, the thing is, its on them to convince people to vote for them. Not for us to bail their asses out. They are basically counting on attitudes like yours in order to remain the party of republicans who are nice to gay people rather than actually trying to do things that will help people.

I know, I’ve seen the numbers. Its astonishing. But its the only logic I can think of telling them to act this way, the idea that you’ll be more motivated to pay up if you feel like you’re in a fight for your life. The crazy thing is, people ARE in a fight for their lives, many people all over the country, and yet the

As a librarian, this seems like a perfect solution to a major problem. On the one hand, fines are what help to keep materials free and in a lot of cases form a larger than you might expect chunk of a library’s annual funding. On the other hand, how many times do we hear about parents not wanting their kids to use the

These people want so badly to lose and keep on losing and I can’t figure out why. Do they raise more money when they can be apocalyptic? I don’t understand, but every day I get more and more inclined to LET them lose until they get the picture and change something.

She got crushed in a debate at PolitiCon by Tomi Lahren. THAT Tomi Lahren. I dunno, I can appreciate the earnestness and some of the things she’s done as far as voter registration but I’m not sure she’s got the chops for this.

Oh god she’s running for president

Speaking as a Cubs fan, it is astonishing to me how quickly we feel entitled to going deep into the playoffs and/or back to the World Series. It took us 100 some years to win the last one can we just pump the brakes a little?
