Sodam Yat or GTFO.
Thanks for the write up on defense in soccer. When I say people who don't know about soccer don't understand it when they watch, that's what I'm talking about. They can't seem to understand when a slide is perfectly timed, or when a defender has displayed impressive awareness through their positioning and…
If you're seeing a lot of diving, you're watching the wrong teams. Also, teams can be penalized for diving. People who don't watch seem to be under the impression that it's a more constant occurrence than it really is.
The rules for the sport "Football" were, until 1863, primarily determined at a local level. There were many variants of the sport even in the UK, where most major schools had their own sets of rules (Cambridge Rules, Rugby Rules, Oxford Rules). Internationally, most regions that were or had been British settlements…
AKA places that already had their own indigenous rules for the sport "Football" before the publication of the Association Football Rules in 1863.
I'm not okay with it. I'm a big American Football fan, but taking 2-4 hours to watch 60 minutes of a sport is ridiculous. NFL broadcasts are required to take at least 20 commercial breaks a game, 10 per half. It disrupts my enjoyment of the sport when I watch on TV, and it's even worse if I actually go to a game. …
I'm actually sad you didn't get that pic entered.
Yes. Please yes.
That's right! Cower! Be Afraid!
I have never cared much for the Jedi. I liked them well enough in the original trilogy, but I always really just wanted to be a pilot or a soldier for the alliance. Battlefront is amazing because it let me realize that dream.
Well I suppose if the purpose of war in a galaxy far, far away is to out-garbage the opponent, then the Empire won handily.
I've always disliked the way that characters all get woven together in Star Wars, but I think there's a bigger issue highlighted here:
The military hierarchy of the Rebel Alliance is horrifying.
After ANH, they promote anybody and everybody for the smallest tasks.
Ackbar does something important in one battle? Make him…
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. Zero-G assassination of the Klingon crew.
As long as you're familiar with campy cartoons from the era (especially GI Joe), you should be fine.
My usual litmus test for friends who are interested in the Venture Bros. is:
1. How well do you remember the years 1985-2000?
2. How much did you like those years?
But based on what you said above, I think you'd enjoy it. The writing is very tight, in a way that's similar to Arrested Development. It's a show that you…
No love for the Hurdy Gurdy?
Really works either way. I picked Norton for Hush because of the performance he turned in as Baldwin in Kingdom of Heaven. I imagine it isn't easy to portray a character without being able to show your face, and I picked him since he's (a) awesome and (b) capable.
Hush. I'd love to see a movie version of Batman: Hush. Keep as much of the setup as possible (can probably lose the Superman/Metropolis portion for brevity's sake). You need several villains to appear for the story to work, but Hush and the Riddler are the only ones you particularly have to worry about.
Sleeping Dogs was game of the year for me. It scratched my Hong Kong crime itch and my open world game itch, and did so pretty masterfully.
There has never been any kind of abundance of WWI games.
