Did you read my other responses before you posted this reply? Because I basically agree with you. Hoping that they can come together in dialogue is not the same as believing that Cho has any obligation to work with Swinton. Nuance!

How priceless would it have been had Cho done the hard, thankless, unpaid work of enlightening Swinton...but in the style of fake Asian mysticism and fortune cookie wisdom. She could have given Swinton her daily lucky numbers, signed off as “Dragon Lady”, and called it a day.

It’s like Rule Three of Being an Ally to self-educate though. As opposed to asking the oppressed to take time out of their overburdened-by-oppression lives to teach the unburdened unopressed/oppressor.

Agreed. I had come to Cho’s defence previously but reading the emails it does seem that Swinton approached her with much more willingness to listen and learn than Cho had represented.

There is enthusiasm and then there is enthusiasm that has been dampened by external factors beyond one’s control. I don’t blame Bernie supporters for the dampening of their enthusiasm after July 6th. That’s on those external factors beyond their control.
