They aren’t switching to full sized SUVs. The CUVs don’t carry the mileage penalty that their big brothers do. That said, I think it’s terribly short-sighted too.

This strikes me as a choice that Ford may find regrettable when gas prices climb back up. But I’d assume that Ford has put much more thought into this decision than I have.

I’ll say it. I think this is a terrible idea.

I did drive the new Si for comparison. The Type R’s in the pictures because it pulled up into my photo shoot and I thought it’d be cool to see them together.

A full size isn’t that much larger than a small truck.

Because 100,000 miles is not even a quarter of what these things can reliably do. Not sure about other brands but an 80's or early 90's Toyota pickup will literally run forever, and because of the fan following they will maintain resale value indefinitely.

I do prefer shrimp and steak flavored shit than ramen flavored shit though.

It’s just a different flavour of shit, I assure you.

A fun car doesn’t mean it has to cost 6 digits.

Corvette wins that fight every time

“...It doesn’t matter if you’re on a highway or stopped at a red light...”

That...seems totally fair. Theres literally no reason to play with your phone in your car. BT headsets are like $15 bucks. Texts can wait. I set my nav before I go, and if I get lost I can pull over

If we want you to drive in the break-down lane, we’ll put out a sign:

Son, if I let you do it, then I have to let everyone do it.

The left lanes are moving, the right lanes are not. It’s most likely that it’s the exit that’s causing the backup. Your hypothetical is very much unlikely. Even if you’re right, you don’t get to just use the shoulder for a quarter mile because the legal traffic lanes are backed up.

That was Optimal timing.

I’m still stuck on why someone with a 620 credit score is buying a new car.

THAT is the travesty.

It’s a ladder frame: I think we’re allowed to like this one.

I let this slip through my grasp and it will haunt my dreams.
