Okay, am I the only one that doesn’t understand why people call Elon Musk a genius? He has basic degrees in physics and economics, sure, but it seems to me like this yutz got rich when tech was fresh and then somehow rolled that into making people believe he’s a genius?

The ‘replace the income tax with a high sales tax’ is a well researched/prominent tax strategy by economists. The rich consume far more than the non-rich, so by some counts, it’s progressive by nature, particularly for those living off a large established fortune.

What is just about someone who makes more money paying a higher tax rate? If anything, tax rate should be flat across the board. Honestly, we shouldn’t have tax on income at all, just a tax on goods.
