I’m extremely skeptical of this. The 2012 JSW TDI that I had made something like 9 visits to the dealer for warranty work in 20,000 miles.
Hey, no problem. Glad to help. Funnily enough, I just spent the past couple days driving home to St. Louis from California; I relocated out here last year.

The E6x 530s are reliable as far as BMWs go. They’re not bad cars. They’re certainly better driver’s cars than Mercedes are, in the sense that they’re more rewarding to drive hard. This is why I own 3 BMWs, but only 2 Mercedes.
It really depends on what you want.
So, I serviced Mercedes, BMW, Audi, VW, Lexus, Infinity, Subaru and Volvo for 4 years; I saw about 20-30 cars a week, a substantial portion of them being W210s and W211s like the AMG mxer1 posted.
This is entirely dependent on how you define “fun.” For instance, if your definition of fun is power-induced oversteer, you’re SOL with a FWD car.
On a different but related note, I’m nominating the Lexus community as the unreserved worst.
My winter beater and road trip car is an ‘07 Lexus GS350 AWD. Never a winter car before, but I moved from CA to MO last year, and I didn’t own anything that I was willing to drive in snow.
Scrolling too fast on the front page. Totally read “Uterus.” Was very, very confused.
This right here is what people overlook. The EJ is laggy as shit in stock form and unless you’re willing to abuse the hell out of the rest of the drivetrain, they’re slow. So, really, is the WRX; 6.anything 5-60 is slow enough that beating a motivated soccer mom in a suburban isn’t a sure thing, and you’re toast vs. a…
Yep. I recall reading somewhere that Subaru’s official position on “why doesn’t the STI have the FA” is that the EJ is a proven platform and they were unwilling to put a FA in the STI unless and until they could ensure that it would perform the way STI buyers expect (in terms of aftermarket mods, basically). That was…
So, I was car shopping a few months back. I drove a Focus RS and a GLA45 AMG (along with some other non-hatchbacky stuff like a 6spd 340i). And then went and bought a 2017 STI.
I grew up in California, but my family is from Nebraska. I learned that from my uncle but I didn’t truly understand the meaning of it until I had to drive through Iowa some years later.

Came here for this comment, was not disappointed. Y’all crack me the hell up.
They should probably work on making their 700hp EVs competitive with 400hp ICE-powered cars, first.
And, having relocated from one political extreme (the Bay Area) to another (rural Missouri), I feel quite confident in saying that divide is going to grow larger yet. This is not a situation that is going to get better.
Personally, I take some degree of pleasure in unlocking my GMC at just the right moment to make someone slam on their brakes, either in hopes of getting a parking spot or out of fear of being run over.
