This woman was threatening violence. I think getting spit on is the least she deserved. She could have been punched out and I think that would have been acceptable.

If Lohan is swinging around a broken bottle and threatening to mortally slash someone then, yeah, I have no problem with this scenario.

I suspect that Crowe had absolutely no idea who Banks was. If you’re not a voracious reader of gossip blogs or music blogs, you’re not going to. He presumably had no idea about Banks’ history of very public meltdowns.

Yeah, I dont get why the person who posted this is attempting to make him or Russell Crowe the bad guys.

I wonder if you’d be fine with Crowe getting slashed by a hoodrat.

Exactly! He only brought it up in response to her accusations that he stood there “like a chump” while she was abused by Russell Crowe. She’s going around claiming that she shut down the record deal because she doesn’t want to align herself with someone who wouldn’t defend her.

Still, two lines in particular give pause as he concludes: “I have a wife, daughters, sisters and females on my staff so I protect women everyday. I pray none of them ever behave the way I witnessed Azealia Banks behaved that night.”

Yeah, I was wondering if I was the only person who immediately recognized the context for that particular sentence. He has been treating her like family up until this incident.

That’s exactly it, he explains it in the video.

This is Jezebel.

I’m on Team I Didn’t Threaten To Cut Someone.

She tried to stab someone, yet you’re harping on his usage of the word “females”?!

Hm, I read “I have a wife, daughters, sisters and females on my staff so I protect women everyday.” less as patronizing and more as a direct response to Banks’ claim that “...the men in the room allowed it to happen.” She pretty openly accused RZA of not protecting her, seems like he was responding to that without

Thank you! I keep hearing about his temper. It was a decade ago. He grew up and matured. We should be saying, “good for him for getting a handle on his anger before it destroyed him.” Unlike Azealia.

Yeah, it’s actually pretty sympathetically written given that he’s ultimately calling her a liar. It sounds like he’s genuinely disappointed that she ended up proving the negative rumors about her true.

Thank you. She needed somebody because she was in career limbo.

Keep trying to paint anyone but the perpatrator as the bad guy. You do know you don’t have to knee jerk defend every woman simply because she’s a woman?

it’s doubtful she needed or asked for his protection or his prayers.

Sorry, I’m with him. Sounds as if Banks has only herself to blame for being ejected from the party, and to falsely file a police report afterwards stating she was an innocent victim of violence and racism is wrong.

Frankly, we can think whatever we like. The result will be the same: She played herself. This was her second, hell, maybe even third chance to get in the game and get back to slaying for the people.
