Some friendly advice: on the App and Play Stores you’ll find some stat tracker apps. I highly recommend using them when you play because the little toggle clip things the game uses are really fiddly and slip off super easy.

Those things are the absolute worst. The come from nowhere, Cappy does nothing to them, you don’t bounce when you jump on them so their buddies get you, and they never stop spawning! Forget Bowser, these are the real enemies!

Not at all. The suits and hats you get with Amiibo are just as non-functional as the regular ones (barring a single specific one you buy with purple coins in each Kingdom), and you can buy all the Amiibo ones later on with coins anyway.

Honestly, Valve should just spin-off a separate company and use Steam’s existing tech and infrastructure for a separate Adult game store. There’s absolutely a market for it.

The only ones that for sure share continuity are Gen 1 and 2, Red/Blue/Green/Yellow and Gold/Silver/Crystal. In Gen 2 games, the last boss on Mount Silver is Red, the player character from Gen 1, and he’s got a badass team including Pikachu, Charizard, Blastoise, and Venusaur.

Seems like most digital versions of Monopoly suck. The iOS one is still terrible.
