I live in the largest/only city in Norway, the one mentioned in this article. It is well under 800k people. You don’t need millions of people to have a public transit. That’s my plan also. Oslo - Amsterdam is the plan with plenty of stops along the way. I drive a Model3 so with the range and super charger network it should be a breeze. I drove Oslo - Berlin last year without breaking a sweat.

The Audi E-tron and Porsche Taycan are very inefficient. They are a step or two above Tesla when it comes to comfort etc, but sitting at the charging station twiddling your thumbs gets old fast.

David, what’s your opinion on the turbo diesel XJs sold in Europe? A 4.0 is too thirsty for us Europeans and is very hard to come by on the used market.

I own an EV and before that had a diesel car running on used vegetable oil. I haven’t been to a gas station in a few years until a month ago when I had to fill up a rental gasoline car in Orlando.

It’s a 10 year plan, so maybe the Tesla truck will be out in time.

Someone in my neighborhood drives the new hybrid Camry. I can’t for the life of me understand why someone would rather buy that over a Model 3. I live in Norway where the two cars costs about the same. The Camry starts at $49500 and the Model 3 Long range AWD at $51500.

The auto pilot actually tells you to apply weight to the steering wheel ever so often. But you can defeat this by just holding on hand on the bottom of the steering wheel or wedging an orange in the wheel as I saw one guy on youtube do.
