This whole article series has been excellent. Very interesting to see a salvage high performance car bought a low price and turned to a Pikes Peak race car and then becoming the faster Corvette ever up the mountain, with room for improvement still. Please do contribute more to Jalopnik.

Larry Chen. One of the best guys shooting right now

Just in case you were serious

It’s like a dyslexic Mustang except it’s faster and doesn’t kill nearly as many pedestrians.

Cachet. Can’t underestimate it.

Now playing

All manufacturers use the same start and stop locations.

You and I know that, but it’s silly how many people still think American cars are engineered poorly and they cite idiotic things like specific displacement as evidence. You’d think making a car that’s just as fast as an exotic for a fraction of the cost would be the definition of good engineering, but nope. Big engine

So it’s only 4 seconds a lap slower than a new GT3, which set its lap using a DCT? That means apples-to-apples, the ZL1 1LE is every bit as fast as a brand new GT3, but for $70k. Can we finally put the “American performance cars suck” thing to bed now? Probably not unfortunately. Can’t wait to see people saying they

I’m afarid I’m going to have to disagree with your assesment, the contact earlier in that lap I thing dameged his tire causing him to go off track in the chicane. Either way though it was awsome final lap racing for the lead in a 24 hour race.

It’s fast because it’s got that great big turbo in there.

Eh, I prefer the glass coupe, it looks way sleeker in my opinion. But I also love all hatchbacks and wagons so I’m biased.

Oh, how I hate Fing hatches stuck on perfectly good looking sports car. I now feel the need to vomit.

His secret service detail will drop every mustang owner as a potential threat

A new Grand Sport basically has “Joe Biden” written all over it!

Your comment is getting me all hot under the collar.

I interviewed at Pratt & Miller, if they would’ve hired me, maybe this wouldn’t have happened*

The ACR has been waiting so long that it has gone into retirement.
