I guess it has to do with budget? I have no insight to the industry whatsoever but I assume VNs are the simplest and cheapest way to get a narrative across in a video game format.

No shade. Why are all gay games visual novels? I mean, I understand that most have a story to tell and narrative works are best transcribed into VNs but like... it’s 2017. Where’s the cute indie lesbian RPG? Or the Gay Bathhouse simulator?

I’m sure he won’t kill people in the same way Batman “doesn’t kill people” in the Arkham games. Where you just knock them out but they are face down in a foot of water or the animation doesn’t work properly and you pull them away from one edge but they ragdoll off the other side.

I am not against Insomniac coming up with some bonkers Peter parker-starring missions. They proved in Sunset Overdrive that they can come up with some wacky scenarios that enable stellar movement-based gameplay. Ever read any of the novels that come from the Empire’s perspective, like Thrawn or Tarkin? They’re actually pretty good.

Disney has publicly said multiple times that everything they release is canon. everything before their acquisition of Star Wars (except Clone Wars and the movies) is non-canon.

I should mention that this game basically reaffirms that the Star Wars comics made by Marvel are canon as those droids that deliver messages first appeared in Shattered Empire.

Anyone who makes judgements like that ahead of the release is dumb
