Actually it is not, sleeping behind the wheel of an vehicle with some degree of autonomy is going to be a big issue. Systems are supposed to detect this, in this case it appears they are failing.

Tesla needs to explain this to NHTSA, clearly their safety features are not working as Tesla reports them to be working.

Or you could put a plate on a not-a-Supra car.  That works too.
