Usagi Yojimbo would be ace if they have the rights.

yeah, the art direction on Annihilation was top-tier.

Star Trek was worse in one respect, it had 26 episodes a season to produce which is insane. Ronald D. Moore once said how he felt liky dying after reaching the end of 20 episodes of BSG and couldn’t fathom how they’d managed to do another 6 episodes on top of that for DS9 just ten years earlier.

Well, one big advantage of the episodic format is that it can be more experimental with individual episodes. If five episodes are stinkers, it won’t sink the show; people can skip them if they don’t like them. Whereas if it’s very arc heavy, skipping those stinkers means you might miss something crucial and have no

Gotta say I disagree in regards to DS9 - some of the best late season episodes are ‘filler’ episodes. It gave a much fuller picture of the characters and life during the Dominion War - life still goes on even to the backdrop of big and important events. Discovery would absolutely benefit by having more room to breath

I’m of two minds on the episodic nature of Voyager (and TNG). Yeah, the very format demanded that interesting plotlines be abandoned without fully exploring them, but the show did eventually settle into a semi-stable “episodic with overarching themes” season format.

I tried to re-watch some TNG episodes recently. Goddamn did they have a lot of meetings!  Q wants to join the crew? Meeting. Borg just took a huge section out of the ship? Meeting. Enterprise about to blow up? Meeting.

Modern Calamari?

Read ‘BEWBS’ in the voice of the Honest Trailers guy.

“Why do her boobs keep growing with every Guilty Gear game Arc System Works releases?”

i love lamp?

I guess the “dinosaurs were endothermic” guys were right.

Death: “Hmm... back again, I see, Mr. Kent... How long will you be staying this time?”

“Experts and volunteers chipped in to help with the excavation...”

Isla Fisher. Yay!

I mean if you’re going that route.

I think the reason so many of us aren’t really talking about climate change is because we’re fucking tired and hopeless. We’ve reached the point the characters reach in the final act - we’ve talked, we’ve advocated, we’ve “raised awareness,” we’ve supported politicians we thought would do something, and we’ve realized

How are you going to phylogenetically bracket this? Crocodiles don’t exhibit tucking, and that’s about it for living bracket candidates.

this. sw has more lore than Marvel-it was insane to not have an solid, detailed outline from the get go.

and how they managed to avoid predators.
