At the start of the lock down I started rewatching MOW X-Files episodes. Now I’m all done and have to go back and watch those boring conspiracy/UFO/black oil episodes.

It’s disappointing to me, because I genuinely enjoyed the show’s mythology, but those mythology episodes just got to be too much of a slog, and became something you got through in order to make it to the next MOW episode.

Man, Rare Replay was awesome. I wish they’d port it to PC. I also wish more studios would do similar things with their back catalogs. So many great older titles are just gathering dust, unavailable to players and generating no income for developers.

Aw, dang. You just made me realize that Rare Replay is the one good, true exclusive that the Xbox One still has--at least, it is, to my knowledge, the only game that hasn’t made its way to PC.

I don’t know, I don’t actually think one needs to read too deeply to understand what the developers were going for in the original Battletoads on NES; it boils down to starting every sentence with “wouldn’t it be cool if...”

I don’t think Microsoft understood anything about any Rare IP. Battletoads was the predecessor to Donkey Kong Country. Banjo was Rare’s take on Mario 64. Perfect Dark was sci-fi Goldeneye. They could’ve made a Diddy Kong Racing spiritual successor with Conker or Banjo as the lead. Just make those games and they have

I would say play it and see if you feel differently. If you can, get a game pass trial for a couple of bucks. I wasn’t terribly sold on the art style off the bat and I didn’t know how combat worked(it looked mashy from the videos). It’s a VERY good beat em up, but I can’t say you’re too far off the mark -art style

I came here for this. Thank you

Exactly. Stop adding Leto to things I like.

Even though I wasn’t as down on season 2 as everyone else, I have to agree that True Detective’s s1-to-s2 drop off was the worst of any series in recent memory... except one.

I disagree on season 3 of True Detective. They knew exactly how to end it: by making clear that the story doesn’t revolve around the protagonists, they were instead just participants in it and heavily affected by it. It’s a more reflective season which is partly about telling “true crime” stories in the aftermath of a

Also? The worst season.

Hey hey now, let’s not be unfair. Spielberg ALSO has daddy issues.

Insert mandatoryI want to die peacefully in my sleep like my grandpa did, not screaming in terror like the other passengers in the car,” joke.

The heat death of the universe will come out before Star Citizen at this rate.

So it’ll come out before Star Citizen does is what I’m getting.

I forgot about those embryos in ROTF and DOTM but I think it relates to the method of reproduction the TFs had in the IDW comics. In that continuity, Transformers “souls”, known as sparks, are generated naturally from time to time on Cybertron. These are harvested and placed in incubators containing an organic metal

In the original cartoon, Cybertronian were built by Lovecraftian alien Quintesson as workers and soldiers. The Cybertronians gained sentience and initiated Judgement Day, driving the Quintessons offworld. The Autobots were laborers and the Decepticons were soldiers, and they disagreed on how things should be ran.

I think including a human in Star Fox would lead to more questions than anything, but it might also open up gigantic worldbuilding opportunities.
