I really appreciate Night Dive’s philosophy when it comes to their remakes and game preservation (Blade Runner: The Game notwithstanding). They remaster their games only to the point where they look like you remember them looking, they include modern bells & whistles, but for the most part they let the original stand

Hayley Atwell has had my heart since Captain America, and I was ALL IN on Agent Carter. I wish she had way more time in the MCU. She’s a great character played by a great actress who is, as noted, an absolute smokeshow. She’s literally the only reason I’m interested in the latest Mission Impossible.

Is it weird that I’m way more excited about having a physical version of Prey than any of the Disney/Marvel stuff?

“Hayden Christensen...have successfully been able to bridge their animated and live-action counterparts.”

Came here to say this. How do you cast Christian Bale and then give him absolutely NOTHING to do? You HAD a great villain being played by an AMAZING actor who could’ve been one of the most memorable performances in the MCU and you just...didn’t even swing at the ball.

I suspect that once Ixalerpeton is fully described, it will be the new best-known lagerpetid but who knows when that will be. This is super exciting; I love lagerpetids, and this guy is shockingly complete.

In case anyone was wondering, P. anubis is Phiomicetus anubis, a rodhocetid-grade protowhale.

Remind me why Bucky is in Anti-Avengers? I feel like he’d be pretty loyal to Steve AND Sam, not these new guys.

I can’t pick just one Keith David role, come on.

His comment feels like a passive-aggressive swipe at Villeneuve, which is dumb. Villeneuve has a better sense of imagery than Scott, and I’m not convinced that a Scott-directed 2049 would’ve been the right choice.

Yes, definitely that.

I recommend picking up the IDW reprint in trade form if you can. They story is bananas but there are some good ideas in there.

But Cocaine Bear was bad. It was bad, right? We almost turned it off several times but kept thinking “is it us?”

To be fair, a horror movie starring a prehistoric ground sloth (which should be the default “sloth” because modern sloths are the weirdos) would be fucking awesome.

Nobody wanted a live-action version of Cowboy Bebop (and hey guess what) and nobody wants a live-action version of One Piece, either.

On the half shell, they’re the heroes four...

Even the first one?!

Been trying to find a copy of this for a decade.

Well, and this is what I’ve been telling my wife lately, there’s still physical media. If she wants to rewatch Sex & The City, there’s a DVD for that. I’ve been slowly building my own collection up after several rounds of purging in the last five or six years.

Fair point!
