They also drank it instead of eating it. It sounds to me like it filled the niche of coffee more than that of modern chocolate.

It sounds like the difference is between "cutting edge" futurism for the societies already in the forefront of innovation and development and a game of "catch up" for everyone else. Developing is great IT network for your country is a very important goal, but it isn't necessarily futurist because a lot of countries…
Casually, countries with the same developmental relationship to the first and third as those 2nd world countries had back in the day.
Just show them your asperger's medic alert bracelet.
I haven't been pulled over in over a decade, but twice when i was I asked "Was I speeding?" and immediately apologized. No tickets.
Now that's modern culture.
It is about aliens. Have you seen their freakish eyes?
How's your skin? Any looseness? I've lost 157 lbs over the last 5 years. I have 62 left to go and I am curious about how much extra packaging I am going to have when i reach my maintenance weight.
It does in the early stages of research about a complex issue. Like, one or two studies may show a link between smoking and cancer, but the amount of research isn't conclusive. Then more studies pile on and it goes from "likely" to "definitely."

His stories are good and his world-building is superb. His characters, however, are crap. Mind you, that might save Hollywood the trouble of turning them into crap.
The idea that his work would be horribly bastardized makes Marukami even more like PKD.
This could happen if alt history becomes a serious, recurring fad in the way that superheroes or vampires or zombies have.
I was going to pop in and say "hey, John Brunner would really fit" but there he was. Good job including him. May you be favored by he who has but one nature.
That doesn't sound like it would be a big part of any epidemic, though. Seems like only a small part of the population would have really high exposure.
She is good enough for an understated, businesslike character like the one she played in Haywire. She would be great as a sort of female counterpart to Jason Statham who, despite his action-movie awesomeness, could never carry off James Bond.
Counted calories, no added sugar beyond that in bread and minor condiments, 5 servings of fruits and veggies per day, lift weights and walk. Lowe-ish carbs but not low-carb. Read labels. Make your own food 13 days out of 14. I basically still do it, too. I just have a much higher caloric goal.
Heh. You say that as if the vast majority of people who say things like "If Dawin's theory holds to be factual" are not really saying that evolution is not true.
That sounds right. Bare knuckles probably shred both face an knuckle worse than gloved punches while the stronger gloved punches would slosh brains around skulls more. I'll take the facial injuries over brain injuries any day.
