“Pleasing” these people, in this case, means laying out policy. Hillary has yet to get specific about a racial justice platform and that is what they are pushing for. This shit actually works.

good.

I don’t know. I imagine at least part of it would be related to having a) a glimmer of hope that the conversation would be done in good faith on the part of democrat candidates, even if their positions or solutions are not well flushed out to date, and b) making it known that democrat candidates can’t just keep

You do know that they have targeted Jeb Bush and they do have plans to target more Republicans. So please lets not derail with what about the Republicans because white liberals need to be called out as well.

The democrats are the ones coasting on the claim of black support while letting the abuse slide.

It would be pointless, given how proudly racist their candidates are it would be like taking “These people are racists!” signs to a KKK rally, yes we know, that’s the point of the republican debates, er I mean KKK rally to begin with.

The democrats are the ones coasting on the claim of black support while letting the

I'm a big Hillary fan — good for them, hope they keep the pressure up, will only do her and the country good.

because the republicans are a lost cause at this point.

I’ve had sleep paralysis a LOT. It started in my early teens and I did not learn what it was until about 10 years later. So I spent a good part of my adolescence genuinely concerned that there might be an evil spirit trying to possess and take over my body. That is certainly what it vividly felt like. I’d wake up, or

“If they knowingly hung spiders everywhere after he specifically said that he had a phobia,”

Yeah, I mean, obviously waving a gun around is crazy, but phobias by definition are illogical and irrational. It sounds like his coworkers purposefully triggered his phobia because they thought it would be funny to watch him panic, then they complanied that he acted unhinged while in the midst of a panic attack. It’s

“And now she must accept the consequences of her improper actions.”

Yeah, I know it’s popular but I hated it too. It glorifies suicide in a way that’s not good for anybody’s mental health. Basically it’s an “if I died everybody would be sorry” fantasy in novel form.

Yeah, I think a big part of the problem is that the author privileged the story’s idea (“She’s going to send these tapes to everyone that ever hurt her!”) over any kind of narrative logic or being true to the characters.

My biggest problem with the book (erm, spoiler alert!) is the part where Hannah sends the tapes to her ex-friend, then reveals that this ex-friend was raped at a party. The ex-friend was either drugged or blackout drunk (I forget) and probably didn’t remember this occurring. So now not only does she know (thanks to

Yeah, I remember a weird vibe where the narrator (who had a crush on the dead girl) gets all sad because he thinks she’s a slut, and then when it turns out that a bunch of dudes just lied about having sex with her, he likes her again. And that’s just one of the weird vibes in it. “Toxic” is the perfect word.

If anyone minds, I’ve got quite a few criticisms of this book, because there’s a lot of problematic shit in there that does need to be addressed:

Ugh, I remember reading this book when it starting gaining attention and it’s so very toxic. Not in a dark and gritty, interesting way but in an over the line Stephanie Meyer manner that you know tweens would just eat up.

It’s definitely a weird subject to have a tv show be about. It’s one thing to do with a book - yet I feel like the author undermined his message about bullying victims by essentially making the victim a creepy sociopath (I don’t think she’s supposed to come off that way, but I left the book with that vibe).

It’s Rachel Dolezal right?
